Fine, but Bland

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Adventure of the Seas

We choose this cruise because it sails out of Bayonne which is an easy 8 hour drive from us. The itinerary isn't really exciting but it was a nice getaway. Embarkation was a breeze - very quick and well organized. The only minor hiccup is that security asked my elderly father to remove his suspenders instead of using the wand to check him. How they expected a 70 year old man to hold up his ...

We embarked and disembarked at Port Cape Liberty is was the smoothest experience we have had yet. This is our fifth cruise. We were traveling with myself , my husband and my 12 year old son. It is a dated ship but a fun one. Our cabin was 7694 Junior Suite Aft. It very nice, lots of closet space, large balcony. Our room had a coffee maker and a tea kettle. I wish the coffee make worked a little ...

We did not want to fly to a port so we sailed from NJ port Cruise to Bahamas with RC the first stop was Port Canaveral gaving me a chance to visit NASA and see the historical space flight exhibits and rockets. For that we did the ships shore excursion. Others who went to beach did not enjoy their day. Next was CoCoCay, a relaxing day on the beach with a great feast and Caribbean music. Taking a ...

I’ve been on a few different Carnival cruises and chose RC as a post-law school graduation cruise because I’d heard they were a step above. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. Let’s start with the online check in. Overall it was okay, but then RC assigned our group a “Check-In” time of 1:30. Being the rule followers that we are, my friend and I didn’t arrive until one thirty and ...

We chose this cruise because of the ports the ship stopped at and shore excursions. Everything was above and beyond what we expected. The cabins, dining, entertainment and shore excursions, etc. We traveled with 3 generations in the family and a few friends. The whole staff of the ship was super friendly and helpful. This was my 5th cruise, 3rd with Royal Caribbean. (I’ve been on 2 ...

This is only my second cruise and my first on Royal Caribbean so take that into consideration when reading this review. The ship is beautiful and quite large with a lot of modern features. Lots to do day and night. The entertainment is endless and they have variety of classes and events for all ages. The shows were good but had some strange elements in them especially Spectra. We stayed in a ...

Too Crowded and Not Impressed With The Anthem

Sailed with my husband and 2 other couples. We wanted to try a cruise from a port we didn't have to fly to. Have done several cruises out of Baltimore (closest to us), so New Jersey was next closest. Anthem of the Seas was the biggest ship we've sailed on so far and was definitely not our cup of tea. Just too crowded. We spent a total of 4 days at sea and they were miserable. The deck chairs ...

I dislike this cruise so much I am writing this review from my deck instead of enjoying my vacation. First the food..... terrible. The quality the times that restaurants are open are both terrible. You can not get breakfast before 7am to 1030, lunch is at 12 to 3, dinner is 530 to 9 out side of them times you have to eat some of the worst pizza I've ever eaten in my life. How exactly does one mess ...

We traveled with 6 other friends. The Anthem went to Bermuda, St.Maarten, Puerto Rico, and Labadee. Our cabin was a Junior Suite with a large balcony (what a room!!). It was large enough for a pizza party for all 8 of us. The food was pretty good, but very salty. I ordered extra vegetables and sometimes the broccoli was like a salt-lick. Next time, I'll request a low-or-no-salt diet! The ...

This was our second cruise on this ship. The first was over a year ago over the Christmas/New Year holidays which was fun! We drove the day before from Western NY to Newark which was "not so fun." Newark was horrible to drive through even as directed by our GPS. We stayed at the Best Western Plus located near the port on International Way. This was our third stay at this hotel where we left ...
