Embarkation was extremely fast. Onboard within 10 minutes. Fantastic ship. Somewhat congested on embarkation day, but manageable. We had a spa junior suite on deck six, which was excellent with plenty of room and storage space. We ate our dinners in the coastal kitchen, the staff was very attentive and friendly. Breakfast and lunch were mainly in the buffet (Windjammer) and dining room ...
We sailed on the Anthem when it made its initial crossing from Southampton to NJ in 2015. We chose this cruise for the number of sea days (5) and for the ease in getting to the port from North Carolina (direct flight to Newark on United). Although portions of the cruise were great, we were disappointed in others. Most enjoyed were the various daytime activities (even though they need to revise ...
My family went on Anthem of the Seas on a 12 night cruise to the Southern Caribbean in January. My husband, my two daughters and myself. Another child accused my daughter of showing her an inappropriate picture. Security stopped us as we were coming back on the ship from Barbados. They questioned my daughter and when she denied it security told her there was surveillance. I asked to see the video. ...
I can't stand the lines at the restaurants. It seems that "My Time" Dining is really "Their Time" Dining. There appeared to be a level of confusion to be seated...with people without "reservations" being seated before "My Time" people. They should use NCL's example for this. Rooms and common areas kept up very well. Our steward was attentive and always asking how everything was. In my opinion, the ...
We just got back from 12 days on the Anthem. It was great. We were tempted to do it back to back. What a delightful trip!
We were concerned because of its size we would encounter long lines. The only time we ran into that was at the buffet but it really wasn't that bad. The food was the best although the dining room service at peek times could have been faster.
We had to visit the Medical ...
We chose this cruise because of the Jersey location and the 12 day itinreary. The cabin was lovely with adequate storage. We were close to the elevator and had a balcony with an unobstructed view. Dennis, the cruise director was excellent and anything he hosted was so much fun. The rest of his staff left a lot to be desired. They were less than enthusiastic or energetic.
We enjoyed the piano ...
Embarkation and disembarking went very smoothly. The only great meal we had on the whole ship was at Chop which was an upgrade. The wait service everywhere was wonderful, the food just OK. We have noticed a big decline in food quality over the past few years. The three crew cast shows were odd. I wish when picking a cast show they would keep their audience in mind. "The gift " did not ...
Very limited variety of food. The temperature of the food is way off. On a few occasions we found lipstick marks on the "clean" cups. Very crowded with lines for everything. Cabins are small and very uncomfortable. the Sofa bed for 3rd person is very hard to sleep on. The stateroom service is OK, but you always have to ask them for shampoo or glasses etc. Bad attitude from some members of the ...
The cruise was chosen to celebrate New Years with the family.
Overall the experience was good but entertainment has to be more organized. There were two shows cancelled due to technical difficulties and no announcement have been made until the last minute. People made booking, waited in line, saved seats 30minutes prior to the show and the announcement was made only 10minutes after the show ...
We have been cruising since 1998, on both Royal and Celebrity. Our friends were going on this cruise and invited us to go along. We thought it would be fun to celebrate New Year's Eve on a cruise ship. And it was.
However, It was cold outside and it seemed like they could never get the ship warm. We were always cold and even in our stateroom. We had to keep the drapes closed to keep the ...
