We wanted to visit St Petersburg and considered a number of cruise lines but chose RCI as we thought it was a premium brand. How wrong we were! First the good areas; the “spacious ocean view” cabin and bathroom were very good - probably the best we’ve had on ship or in a hotel for a long time. Chose this cruise because of the destinations but felt let down by the company's dining experience in the main restaurant. Should have been a fine dining experience but the food was never hot.
Stateroom was roomy and well serviced and staff all very friendly. Windjammer restaurant was great for food in mornings and any time during the day so why can't that be replicated in the main dining room. ...

This was supposed to be really good value, including a full drinks package and all tips.
Not sure that the price we paid was actually that good compared to others.
Evening entertainment was very average - only three shows from the troupe in 12 nights. A Comedian and a Ventriloquist - the 70's called - they want their entertainment back.

We were allocated a room on the 2nd deck, even when the engines had stopped there was a continental weiring all the time, made it very hard to sleep. Hardly any hot water for shower and several broken items in our stateroom. The whole ship needs a revamp. The service in all areas was bad. The cruise itself was very enjoyable. The staff were great. The food not so great. A lot of the time the food was lukewarm and the vegetables almost raw. Not very nice.
The prices of drinks in the bars/restaurants is extortionate. $40 to $70 dollars for a bottle of wine. A can of John Smiths $8. You could not afford to have many drinks on this cruise.

In my experience, there are four things that make or break a cruise – the ports, the staff, the food and wine experience, and the ship itself.
Ports = We rate the ports as 5 out of 5 for this Baltic Capitals cruise. Great cities to visit, every one.
Staff = The staff gets a 5. They did their best to make us happy, especially our waiter and cabin steward.

This was a great cruise, but a problematic second experience with Royal Caribbean. The ship is still beautiful but is undoubtedly starting to feel it's age. Some of the areas are looking tired especially the staterooms which have elements that have chipped surfaces and broken drawers.

For my husbands birthday which RC never acknowledged loved the entertainment the cruise director and team all worked so hard
The cabin was great but the condition on balcony was dirty and had splaters of paint everywhere had to be washed down with my sterile wipes. In general the curtains didn’t not fit let the light in think they had shrunk
