Good cruise hampered by poor staff

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Freedom of the Seas

We chose a short cruise to see if we enjoyed it. Overall, it was a fun voyage, but we had consistent issues with staff, most notably the person traiging dinner guests on deck 3 on all 3 nights of our cruise. This individual was apathetic at best and openly hostile and antagonistic at his worst, and marred what otherwise would have been a lovely anniversary dinner. Royal Caribbean did not respond ...

Amazing Family Vacation

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Icon of the Seas

We traveled on Icon two adults and two children ages 8 and 6 and had an amazing time. The staff were all beyond friendly. You could tell they had to work their way up to this ship. We were not a huge fan of the Adventure Ocean programs which, at least for our children's ages, never left the club. So, if you dropped your kids off during the day they essentially sat inside and played on a ...

We are senior cruisers so we did not partake in a lot of the activities designed for youth and families. So what's so great? The elevator system stands out as a Hugh improvement. Very little waiting, mostly empty and many nonstop express rides all week. Entertainment: They brought the best musicians and singers from other ships. Good house band and an additional feature band called Legends ...

Freedom of the Seas – Excellent Weekend Getaway

BACKGROUND INFORMATION We really enjoyed a fast-paced weekend getaway on the Freedom of the Seas. When the Freedom OTS first set sail in May 2006, she was the largest cruise ship in the world. In March 2020 just before the pandemic shutdown, Royal Caribbean spent $116M to amp the Freedom, updating her amenities and features to the latest in the fleet. The Freedom of the Seas has 1963 ...

First Class Suite Experience is Second Rate

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Oasis of the Seas

I get it , RCL is cutting corners to increase revenue. But, it is becoming so obvious to everyone because of poor food quality and lackluster service. Boarding the ship is nothing special. There is a separate entrance for suite guests that simply dumps you in line with everyone else. I booked loft suite. It was very clean but furniture is showing its age. Loft bathroom has hot water the ...

This is the first time I have ever had a miserable cruise on RCL and had to really complain about what happen this past week. We had issues with cabin and the casino. Day 1 Everything was awesome like every cruise I take on Rcl. I was in Junior Suite arrived about 130pm went directly to the room to put our luggage up then explore the ship. I was going on this cruise with my best friend whose ...

The Great, Good and Not So Good

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Explorer of the Seas

We had so much fun on Explorer Feb. 4th -9th sailing. What I enjoyed was the diversity of people on board. I love seeing little ones enjoying. The entertainer we booked to see playing in Schooner's, Perry Grant, could not be there last minute and I was so disappointed. David, who filled in, was a laugh and a half. And we were all surprised when fellow passenger asked to sing along and stole ...

Overall I loved this ship and the stops. This was my first cruise so I have nothing to base it of but I'm mostly satisfied. The ship is absolutely beautiful and elegant throughout most of it, the rooms are a bit dated but still cozy and comfortable. The beds were alright , nothing to write home about but the pillows were good. I do wish they came with fans in each room it was bloody warm in ...

Plenty of Space for Everyone to do their Own Thing

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Independence of the Seas

We booked this sort of last minute on a Black Friday special and got a great deal. For a ship & itinerary selected primarily on departure date, we were both surprised and pleased how nice the experience was. This ship is large enough to have a variety of activities and amenities, but not so huge to be able to get around. It is a bit older, and shows in some spots but most areas look nice. Very ...
