The Navigator is a Beautiful ship. Easy parking at the port. $20 a day. We had a balcony cabin on deck 12. Cabin 1888. Entertainment on board was Vegas quality. We loved all of the shows. Dining- Main dining was a 6/10. Service great. Food soso. But I am a spoiled by cruising higher end cruise lines. Windjammer buffet was okay. Nothing special. On deck Mexican food was ...

This may not be the ship for you if you are not traveling with family....

Let me start by saying I don't think I should be treated "special", but when you are sold a Grand Suite because of all the supposed wonderful extras and ammenities, then you sort-of have a raised expectation... especially when I have sailed a suite-class on other cruise lines. And because I have often sailed with RC's sister company, Celebrity, I was Platinum level in their Crown & Anchor Society ...

A few great things and more to work on

There were some good things about our cruise.  The COVID testing process for kids, while unfortunate to have to do, went as smoothly as it could have.  The staff running it were helpful and efficient; we were in and out in less than half an hour.  On the ship, the service in Windjammer and Cafe Promenade was fantastic - the people who work there were so kind and attentive!  The food from El Loco ...

Embarkation-I agree with another review. They have you download vax card and negative test then you are required to pull it out of your suitcase 2 or 3 more times after being stowed away-annoying. Area was quite hot with little air flow and lack of direction as to what is expected next. Security personnel were rude as well but alas we made it through. Food-Quite good. I am a picky eater and ...

Underwhelming in my opinion!

We chose this cruise because we were celebrating my parents 50th Anniversary and they didn't want to fly so out of LA we have two options, Carnival or RCCL. Having cruised Carnival many times I suggested RCCL thinking / knowing it would be a better fit. All I can say is that I was very underwhelmed by everything on this cruise. I was on this same cruise the end of January and had a great time, ...

Great crew, but not at 100%

I selected this cruise as a getaway. It wasn't long, and it wasn't exotic, but it did push me into Diamond Plus territory. Navigator of the Seas is running three day / four day cruises out of Los Angeles to Ensenada and Catalina Island. I selected a four night cruise. Balcony staterooms were not available when I booked, but I put in a minimal bid for one from their RoyalUp offer, and scored ...

Our cruise on the Navigator of the Seas took place at the end of May in 2022. The cruise was booked as a way to get out of town and cruise again after waiting way too long for other cruises that had been cancelled on us. I am normally a bigger fan of NCL than Royal, but my wife prefers Royal. We only live about 25 miles from the port and have cruised out of there on multiple occasions. We are ...

A fun little getaway over memorial day weekend on the Navigator of the Seas

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Navigator of the Seas

Overview: We did a quick 3-night cruise on Navigator of the Seas out of Los Angeles over the Memorial Day weekend. We were limited on time, so we felt this would be doable. According to our waiter, this was the first cruise sailing at full capacity since the start of the pandemic. Because it was a holiday cruise and was full, pricing was more expensive than what I’ve typically ...

Overall, we had a pleasant experience. Except for the cabin steward who cleaned our room the day we embarked, all staff members were fantastic!. Our room had not been cleaned by 2:00…and we were not given an extension cord for a medical device despite asking him twice. Our Diamond Member concierge came through, however. Our cabin steward, Shinnelle was amazing for the remaining part of the ...

We were "snow. birds" returning to Seattle from S. California and chose cruising as an alternative to driving from Palm Springs to Seattle. The costs were comparable to driving and sightseeing for six days. But the plane is less expensive. We had a perfect port call on Catalina Island and rented a golf cart there for touring. We had two port days in San Francisco and toured Alcatraz - a ...
