Traveling to San Pedro was my wife Donna and myself. We have sailed the Mariner several times before and were looking forward to sailing her on the west coast. We flew Southwest into LAX the day before and booked the Crowne Plaza stay & sail package. This includes round trip transportation from the airport to the hotel, hotel to ship, and the return all the way to the airport. We were assigned ...

Family and I just returned from our 11 night Mexican Riviera cruise. All in all I would say it was money well spent. The wife left happy which is really the only measure that matters from my stand point. I would like to pass along my 2 cents in hopes that it may help someone in the market for a cruise and considering the Radiance. So you understand my perspective, traveling with me were my wife ...

Embarkation was a breeze. Stayed at the Comfort Inn Airport near Old Town. Took their shuttle to port and left luggage for a porter. Walked right through and was aboard by 11:30 AM. We have been cruising on Celebrity for the last 7 years or so, but went with Royal Caribbean because Celebrity not offering anything with this itinerary. Definitely a step down. Ship was nice. Except for toilet ...

I'm a new professional travel agent with 1 year experience as an agent but with 10 years of cruising world wide for over 17 week on 6 cruise lines. I read some of the reviews of this cruise ship and itinerary prior to leaving and found a mix of reviews. So very crittical. So I thought when I got back i'd wite up something for my peers and for anyone on this site. Here goes... Note: I paid the ...

We (my mother, father, and best friend-17) arrived in Los Angeles a couple days early before our trip. This is our fourth cruise on RCI and our second on the Mariner. We stayed at the La Quinta at LAX and found it the perfect location for everything we wanted to do. The Friday we flew in we visited the Santa Monica pier, Rodeo Drive and Hollywood. Unfortunatly for our group of tourists, the ...

Our flight out was on Alaska Air from DCA to LAX non stop. It, as we have reported before because of the blizzards, was dependent on the previous night's flight arriving from LAX. There was 4 feet of snow on the ground in DC when we left. We got fortunate with the weather, the airport re-opened in time and our drive to DCA was uneventful. Thank you state highway snow plow crew. We boarded at the ...

RCL Radiance of the Sea 10 day Mexician Riveria RT San Diego cruise. Mexico was warm & most cities were clean. The Roll Call group did a lot of tours toegther. M&M was the first sea day and our group had an organized slot pull with no luck after the M&M. In Cabo we did Whale watching with a shore company. We saw several different mom & baby with companion. One of the babies was learning how to ...

This was the second cruise for my wife and me and the first for our kids. My wife and I are 39 & 41 respectively and we have an 8 year old daughter and a 5 ½ year old son. As a bit of a background on us, we tend to spend our vacation dollars on fewer but better vacations - so we go for better hotels & restaurants as this is a big part of our enjoyment of a vacation. With that in mind you can judge ...

Background: We have cruised with Royal Caribbean several times, but all from the east coast. This was our first west coast cruise. We flew to LAX on Virgin America and VA is probably the best airline I have flown with in a very long time. Lots of leg room, comfortable seats, interesting way to order drinks, food, snacks. I won't fly any other way from now on. Hotel Info: I reserved an ExecuCar ...

My husband and I take two vacations a year...one for just us and one for the entire family. We love to cruise and have travelled previously with Royal Caribbean on Rhapsody of the Seas to the Western Caribbean and Freedom of the Seas to the Eastern Caribbean. We live in California so we set off for Los Angeles from the Central Valley. It was less than a four hour drive and we arrived at the San ...
