I booked this cruise for myself and 19 year old daughter after sailing on the Mariner Sept 2009 with my husband. After having such a great time on the first Mariner cruise, I just knew my daughter would love it. She has sailed 3 other times on RC and once prior on Princess. We have cruised twice on Princess and were very happy with both those trips. We booked Royal Caribbean's Mariner of the Seas because we wanted a warm weather cruise to celebrate our son's graduation from high school. Our choices for a West Coast warm weather cruise were only Carnival and RCCL. RCCL seemed the better choice for a family cruise and we were not disappointed.

My family of four (including two teenagers - 16 and 19) drove to LA from northern California the day before the cruise and spent the night 30 minutes away from the port at an Embassy Suites. Sunday morning we arrived at the port at about noon. After mistakenly standing in the wrong line for 10 minutes, we checked our bags and were on the ship within 15 minutes. So easy!!!

No problems getting there except we did go around a couple of times before we saw the entrance to the actual parking section. Husband was real frustrated by the time we found it.
