We chose this cruise for the itinerary. My wife's sister lives and works in Dubai and the opportunity to see her and locations we had not been to before made this choice irresitable. We spent a few days in Dubai, we had been there before, but really enjoyed it as well as a day trip we took to Abu Dhabi. We chose an early boarding 1100 AM, which was a good idea. We were on board in no time and had ...
First of all the ship is huge, spotless and provides lots to do for everyone, we enjoyed crazy golf, watching a movie shown on a screen above the pool whilst drinking cocktails, the gym is very well equipped and fairly quiet, whilst the boys enjoyed football, basketball and ping pong and the company of loads of teenagers from around the world.
Cabins are a reasonable size although we did not ...
First I would like to say it is a great cruise, a perfect way to see several cities in Europe without going broke. I read several reviews before going but there were none that reviewed this specific itinerary.
Rome - We arrived two days before our sail date, that worked great. The typical tour buses are good for seeing the city quickly. My one tip would be to purchase your ticket for the ...
We just returned home from 11 days "on the beautiful Mariner of the Seas." It was an amazing vacation. The ship itself is in great shape. It's not new but you could hardly tell unless you were looking closely. (Hope that isn't how you spend your vacation.) :) There were over 3,000 guests on our cruise but you couldn't tell, with all of the activities available they did a great job of keeping ...
We travel quite often, both in the United States and Europe. Normally, we choose to cruise if the itinerary and cost fit into our plans. This cruise filled our desires to see Israel and Turkey as these are places we have not previously visited. The cruise allowed us brief views of both of these countries as well as looks at Naples and some Greek ports. Overall, the cruise offered excellent value ...
We cruise on Mariner of the Seas on Oct 14th for 12 days. The destinations were eastern Mediterranean.
In general, the service at Mariner of Seas are great. The staffs are friendly and helpful. The waiters are great. The food quality was good but the coffee is undrinkable. We got a balcony stateroom and the room was clean and the steward did a great job everyday. The embarkation was smooth and ...
Our family of 7 adults took the 12-night Holy Lands cruise on Royal Caribbean's Mariner of the Seas. Two of us are repeat cruisers and the rest were newbies. Here are our observations:
PRE-CRUISE: We arrived at the Fiumicino Airport in Rome two days before our cruise. We used tourshuttle.com to book transport to our hotel by a company called SAR Hire (you can book with them directly too on ...
Let me start by saying that despite the date showing on the calendar, the weather was summer hot, hot, hot. The itinerary was outstanding with a good mix of four countries.
While some of the reviews I have read on the Mariner of the Seas mentioned that the ship was old and tired is absurd. The ship is clean and well maintained and the staff were more than accommodating. While I don't utilize ...
i was somewhat disappointed as i have traveled 2x with carnival and thought that royal carribean was a higher standard but was mistaken as carnival stood higher in my eyes...
things that happened during my cruising the mariner voyage of sept 8th...
1. to the staff of the dining rooms thumbs up 100% they really went out of there way..
2. to the cleaning staff thumbs up for the ...
Just got back from the Mariner. This was our first RCL cruise and would happily sign on for more. The ship is in good shape and the crew were wonderful.
Even though the cruise was based out of Rome and Americans were a minority, the food, activities and general operations were designed for the American market.
If you want a "European" style cruise, you won't find it.
The food was ...
