See belowThis truly was a disaster. My wife's 50th birthday treat, a weeks cruise. My wife was either angry or in tears for the week.
Everything was going well until the first day proper when going to use the bathroom it was flooded. Not convenient when needing the toilet. Let that one slide after staff came round rodded the pipes and staff cleaned and sterilized.

The ship is great for you if you like to sit around most the day doing nothing but reading books or listening to poor songs on the radio.

This was our first cruise with Royal Caribbean and never again if this sailing was anything to go by! A lot of passengers were very rude, foul mouthed, invariably drunk and looking for trouble. This was my 3rd time on The Independence of the Seas, 6th time with Royal Caribbean and definitely my last.
I was excited to see how they had renovated the ship as were the other 5 members of our party. How wrong we were.

Mother in law booked a family cruise on this floating nightmare. Checking in and boarding in Southampton was a joke. Rude miserable staff who did not want to be there and a terminal far too small for this ship. We waited in line for an hour and we had not even moved 20 meters.
