Fjords were the highlight of our trip

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Anthem of the Seas

After several emails and messages telling us to make sure we were on time, we queued with thousands of others outside in the rain for more than an hour before boarding. No apology or even a mention from RCI, so I presume this is normal. My suitcase was delivered to the cabin at 8.30pm, 7 hours after I left it with the check in team !! No apology or explanation, so maybe normal? Our dinner ...

We were only on Anthem 9 months ago. It was fabulous in every way. But I am sorry to say that now OMG! It's not good at all. Food was poor even in Chop's Grill , they try to palm you off with stale doughnuts instead of pastries in main dinning breakfast , they was very limited drinks availability, no single malt! and the hygiene standards are slipping , entertainment (quiz's) were in small ...

Covid Cruising for Famillies. Not a great experience

This crusie is a bit tricky to review as RCL can't be held respobsible for COVID or the UK weather!! The good bits and in fairness these were all excellent. Food, staff, room, entertainment, drinks all absolutely brilliant. Even the shore excursions were very good. We loved Giants Causeway in Ireland. Now the tricky bit and my major disappointment with RCL. This was a UK school ...

Almost All Good

Chose the cruise for a break as a UK-based holiday that would be relatively reliable and not subject to travel restrictions. In fact, the ship, the main dining room, the crew especially, the ports of call and the entertaintment all exceeded expectations. We had cruised with Royal Caribbean on Freedom class ships before and enjoyed them, but the Anthem was a step up. I am not sure it had a ...

Disappointing cruise

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Anthem of the Seas

This was supposed to be canaries but was just Belfast and Liverpool. This junior suite cabin is directly above the ladies public toilets on deck 5 so if you like to sleep before 2 or 3am don’t book this one. All I could hear was toilets flushing continuously. Once people eventually went to bed I had the sound of a toilet filling up with water sloshing about until 8 or 9am! Guest services ...

As our trip to Florida got cancelled again and I didn't want to fly due to all the tests and paperwork involved we did this 7 night uk trip. My son and I had a great time from bumper car driving to iflying. Great modern ship (have done other Royal Caribbean ships but smaller ones). No sea sickness even though I'm generally a bad traveller and it was a bit rocky at times so I put that down to ...

Post Covid British Isles Cruise - some changes but overall very good

We decided to book a british isles cruise as we needed a break and have not been able to get to our usual cruise destination of the carribbean in nearly two years. We are two adults with no children and cruise Royal/NCL and Carnival mainly. Embarkation; We expected this to take a bit longer than usual due to covid requirements but it was actually very smooth and we were on the ship from ...

RCCL Quality is dropping

I've been an RCCL cruiser for 20 years and have been on about 18 cruises. My very first cruise was on 9/11 and I was blown away by their responsiveness, communication and generosity of letting all passengers make free ship-to-shore calls to check on loved one back home. I've never had one of those "sick cruises" (but I do sanitize my hands as suggested) and my cruises have generally been really ...

This review is based on two sailings I did. One on 19 September and the other on 20 October. On the first sailing there was only 800 on the ship and good social distancing. Entertainment was fantastic, full size musical, rat pack and Jersey Boys shows, also Beatles tribute. Liverpool stop. No need to do trips. British Music experience is based in Cunard building, 3-4 minutes from where ...

Originally, I booked this cruise for May 2021 for my wife's birthday as she wanted to go to see the Norwegian Fjords and we both thought that with covid still around, the ports of call would not have too many travellers, so thought this was the right time to do this trip and let everyone else go to spain etc. However, we got wind in early 2021 that this cruise would be cancelled, so we got it ...
