Great Cruise

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Navigator of the Seas

We were looking for destinations out of the ordinary. I called this the European Kiss... Ports of call that we would not normally choose, yet wanted to explore. Certainly filled the bill for us. We would give this cruise an Excellent Review but there were a few exceptions that kept it from a 5 star. Our initial on-board experience felt like an onslaught of timeshare salesmen. We barely ...

Beautiful ship

Not too big, not too small. Service was great as it always is with R.C. The entertainment ran from excellent to downright awful. The main shows were quite good but the trio at Boleros, Teddy something, was shameful. If you don't know the words or cannot carry a note, don't sing the song. Their instrumentals were very good, only to be ruined by the singing. You could hear an audible groan from the ...

Fall in Europe and Family

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Navigator of the Seas

The cruise was excellent. We traveled as a family with several under the age of three (all in a family stateroom). It was a nice time to travel in Europe, and the ship provided excellent service. We were especially impressed with Royal Tots for our young ones, and the professionalism (and assistance) that the crew provided throughout our voyage with kids. They were always assisting with finding a ...

Wanted to see more of Europe so booked with Royal Carribean first and last time! Ship is tired needs a refit though on the positive side is clean. Staff work hard , long days and are always helpfull. Sadly the drinks are very expensive $13 for a glass of wine $3.50 for a can of coke !! There are no price lists at any of the bars so unable to choose other than by looking over the bar . ...

Retirement gift. Always wanted to go on a cruise. It was a very good experience and would do it again sometime. People were very friendly and staff was good and very pleasant. Food was very good, fresh, and well cooked and seasoned. Activities were very good and a lot to do for everyone. Ship was very clean and arranged very nicely. Captain was very professional and on top of every detail. He also ...

Good ports of call

Fitted in well with school holidays and always good to sail from Southampton. Ship is a good one although a little tired in places. The last time we had Clo as a cruise director she was disappointing but she was bang on form on this cruise. Main dining was good service but main dining food was not as good as it used to be and significantly lower in standard than NCL who we used for the ...

Falling standards

We have cruised with Royal Caribbean before and found them to be of good quality and good value. Not this time. Prices have gone up and standards have gone down dramatically. The main restaurant where food has always been good now resembles school dinners with such delicacies as mince and onions making an unwelcome appearance. I ordered scallops au gratin. The scallop had been diced into tiny ...

it had been over 4 years since i last cruised with RC and over 5 with the Inde who is due for a refit later this year, apart a few bits of wear and tear the ship still looked good. the independence is popular with both guests and crew and feels like a happy ship. the cabin, we had a balcony which puts most other popular lines to shame, bigger balcony, more room inside and in the bathroom ...

A So So - So what's new - cruise

First, Southampton is fabulous for the easy of embarkation! Great job!!! So easy. We boarded early and it was about 8 GBP (pounds) fare from Southampton Central Station to the ship. Easy to get on and reacquaint ourselves with Indy. We had an inside cabin overlooking the Royal Promenade which saved us hundreds off the original balcony room that we had. Guest Relations was FANTASTIC! They teased ...

Great service

Ticked all the boxes including free drinks package when booking. Not enough daytime lectures/talks (Lady who delivered talks on pop stars had a poor delivery style). There were a number of quizzes but the venues got so full that it was very difficult to find seats. Great service by restaurant and bar staff who, for me, went out of their way to be pleasant and helpful. Some good ...
