Post Covid British Isles Cruise - some changes but overall very good

We decided to book a british isles cruise as we needed a break and have not been able to get to our usual cruise destination of the carribbean in nearly two years. We are two adults with no children and cruise Royal/NCL and Carnival mainly. Embarkation; We expected this to take a bit longer than usual due to covid requirements but it was actually very smooth and we were on the ship from ...

This review is based on two sailings I did. One on 19 September and the other on 20 October. On the first sailing there was only 800 on the ship and good social distancing. Entertainment was fantastic, full size musical, rat pack and Jersey Boys shows, also Beatles tribute. Liverpool stop. No need to do trips. British Music experience is based in Cunard building, 3-4 minutes from where ...

We actually sailed on the 15th August but that was populated on here as France and Spain but we sailed around the UK so I selected the week before! Embarkation was slow due to the checking of vaccines and COVID tests. As the Covid tests were carried out by their preferred supplier, Eurofins and the results were sent to them, this surely could have flagged up as competed. I think they will need ...

Remember this song ?There was no land in sight !!!! October 25th was quite a nice day to embark on our 11 night cruise to the Canaries I have been on this cruise many times and couldn't wait to sail. Embarkation was reasonable but being Diamond does not seem to have that preferential treatment it used to ....sadly . Once onboard we were able to go straight to the cabin which was one of ...

We chose this cruise because we had not been to Hamburg, Rotterdam and Amsterdam. Felt it was a good way to see these destinations. Apart from the drizzly weather, which was expected at this time of the year, they were very interesting places. Embarkation at Southampton was extremely easy, onboard very quickly and cabin and luggage available within hour. We had inside cabin 8673, very ...

Embarkation was great, we were on the ship 5 minutes after entering the terminal. The refurbished part of the ship is great, it’s a shame they didn’t update the staterooms. Ours was quite shabby with stained and faded sofas, old net curtains which didn’t meet in the middle and filthy curtain liners. Come on RCI. Our cabin was kept clean though, so no problems there, it just felt grubby because ...

We had wanted to go on IOS for a long time and although wasn't disappointed, wasn't for us. Several reasons really, far too big, twice the size of others we have been on and this was our 10th. Firstly when we arrived on the ship, we couldn't find our cabin, it didn't matter who we asked and was sent in one direction, once arriving there, was told it was another so initially very frustrating. ...

We chose this cruise because of the itinerary and because we were already vacationing in London prior. We really enjoyed the ice show “Strings.” The violinist was phenomenal and the choreography of the skaters was great. We ate in the main dining room the first two nights. The food was good, portions could have been bigger but the service was very slow. Izumi was good but it was an hour until we ...

Had great time , took my 12 year old daughter did not know what to expect after reading the last review. (Did notice dents in the lift doors and did hear about the young man who was tazered and the 39 passengers that had to leave the ship from the week before we sailed) But thankfully we only experienced well behaved children and young adults on our cruise . Totally overwhelmed by the sheer ...
