Being from Florida, DH and I prefer cruises that go somewhere cool and this itinerary really fit the bill. We were really looking forward to escaping the summer heat and to make a long story short, this cruise was absolutely wonderful. We booked this cruise in Nov 2014, this is not our usual MO, but we were travelling with friends, who were nervous about not getting the cruise we all wanted to go on. This was cruise number 10, all with Royal.
Check in in Harwich was very easy, parking so close to the terminal and the curtesy bus was waiting for us. When we got to the terminal there was no demand for a tip either. If going by train, the train station is next to the hanger wher you check in, no taxi's needed like Southampton.

My first cruise on Brilliance and one of only a handful on RCCL. To begin our Scandinavian cruise I parked at Park Plus at JFK for $228 for 14 days. We booked our cruise after buying a Groupon in the USA. Our agent was professional and everything went smoothly. We were in England on vacation prior to the cruise, and we are very familiar with their trains. However, if for you that isn't the case, no worry, as there is an express train that goes directly to Harwich, with just a short walk to outside the door of the cruise terminal.

We enjoyed our cruise on this ship. We entered quickly and got to our room easily. The wind jabber dining room had a wide selection of foods that should have fit any ones taste.
