Being from Florida, DH and I prefer cruises that go somewhere cool and this itinerary really fit the bill. We were really looking forward to escaping the summer heat and to make a long story short, this cruise was absolutely wonderful. The ship is just the right size for us and was well maintained and the staff was friendly and attentive. Now for the details. The cruise sailed from ...

After several years bringing up young children, working busy jobs, generally getting older, more tired and fatter, this was a much anticipated 1st real holiday for us and the children. We got our first taste of cruising on Serenade of the Seas in Alaska in 2005 and loved the experience of seeing some pretty inhospitable but interesting places from the comfort of a floating hotel. The Baltic ...

This was our 8th cruise (6 with RCI, 2 with Celebrity) and 2nd time on the Brilliance. The embarkation at Harwich was easy and quick and our luggage was waiting for us outside our cabins straight after lunch. We had a fair idea what to expect service and food wise and we weren't disappointed Except the only negative being with the breakfast in the Windjammer. We were on my time dining and had no ...

We booked this cruise in Nov 2014, this is not our usual MO, but we were travelling with friends, who were nervous about not getting the cruise we all wanted to go on. I don't like to book in advance and then have to count the months and days, prefer to book at last minute, even if it means losing the cruise. No matter, because we booked early, we got a free drinks package, which worked ...

This was cruise number 10, all with Royal. Check in in Harwich was very easy, parking so close to the terminal and the curtesy bus was waiting for us. When we got to the terminal there was no demand for a tip either. If going by train, the train station is next to the hanger wher you check in, no taxi's needed like Southampton. Although this was the smallest ship, sorry cruise liner, we had ...

My first cruise on Brilliance and one of only a handful on RCCL. To begin our Scandinavian cruise I parked at Park Plus at JFK for $228 for 14 days. Not bad for NYC, but I later learned that they have Groupons as well! We then flew on Icelandair from JFK to Heathrow. Icelandair is definitely a “no frills” airline. I’m used to inflight meals and sometimes free drinks on transatlantic flights; ...

We booked our cruise after buying a Groupon in the USA. Our agent was professional and everything went smoothly. We were in England on vacation prior to the cruise, and we are very familiar with their trains. However, if for you that isn't the case, no worry, as there is an express train that goes directly to Harwich, with just a short walk to outside the door of the cruise terminal. We had a ...

This was our first time to do the Baltic itinerary, our fifth cruise on Brilliance, and our 32 RCCL cruise. We are Diamond Plus C&A members and so we know our way around pretty well and know some of the staff from previous cruises. We loved all of the ports and had tours planned in Tallinn, Estonia and St Petersburg, Russia. We did our own touring in the other cities. More about all that later in ...

We were a party of Seven 5 adults and two children. This was our first trip on this ship, but our 3rd with Royal Caribbean. All the RC Ships are well designed and standards of hygiene amazing. Majority of the staff bend over backwards to accommodate you, if something is not to your liking they are more than happy to bring you another or action your requirements. Our room 7504 was always kept clean ...

We enjoyed our cruise on this ship. We entered quickly and got to our room easily. The wind jabber dining room had a wide selection of foods that should have fit any ones taste. What I noticed was the number of staff to help. Also I noticed higher staff checking on all food, waiters, and helping out when needed. They visited with cruisers asking what they needed and how they were enjoying the food ...
