A Very Mixed-Bag Experience!!

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Liberty of the Seas

This is for a 9 day New England and Canadian cruise. We had an 11AM check in, but were quickly admitted on board 15 minutes ahead of time. Our balcony stateroom on the 8th deck was spacious and comfortable, but on the night of the 70s Promenade "Party" (just a motivation to buy drinks), we heard the bass noises from the 5th deck. Our room steward was very good, even though he forgot to fill up our ...

Our fourth and probably last cruise on Liberty of the Seas

This was our fourth cruise on Liberty of the Seas, unfortunately the fourth was no where near as good as an experience as the previous 3. We arrive at our assigned check in time and had to wait on line over an hour to check in eventhough we were required to precheck in online. The overall process appeared less organined than in the past. Food quality was poor, most of the time hot food served ...

4.5 Stars for staff, service, destinations, shows, and value.

Just got off a nice day cruise New York, Boston, Portland, Maine, Bar Harbor, Halifax, and St. John. Overall the cruise was wonderful. We had a fantastic time. I'm giving a five star because of the value for the money, destinations, and all the extras they did for us. The ship itself is ready for refurbishment, but that's okay as it's reflected on the price we paid for a balcony cabin, which ...

What happened to Royal Caribbean?

After a few years away from cruising for various reasons including a so-so experience on a Christmas cruise on a smaller Royal Caribbean ship, my husband and I decided to give them another shot since we had sailed with them on 6-7 other cruises with them without incident. We booked a 9 night Canada and New England cruise this past September on Liberty of the Seas in a balcony stateroom. From the ...

On the day of the cruise we flew into Newark, NJ and had prepaid the RC shuttle from the airport to the cruise port. There were about 80 people at the airport terminal and they sent one bus which only holds 50 people so after waiting two hours in 90 degree heat a second bus finally arrived. We got to the ship a little after 2PM. Since they knew how many people had signed up there was no excuse for ...

Liberty of the Seas from Bayonne to New England and Canada Cruise - Tips for Passengers

I enjoyed this cruise, but prefer the Oasis class versus the Freedom class (first time). I have been on the Voyager of the Seas, Serenade of the Seas, Brilliance of the Seas, Oasis of the Seas (2x), and Radiance of the Seas. I sailed on the Liberty of the Seas on 8/24 (first cruise of season) packed for totally different weather. Bring pants and jackets. Do not expect to be able to sit out on ...

Great ship, but it needs to be amped!

I love this ship. I've sailed on her twice and would go again. My only complaint is they need the drink fountains that come with the amped ships. We skipped the soda package, because standing at the bar to get my kids a soda is a waste of everyone's time. Other than that, we had a fabulous cruise. We had a really foggy sea day, which was interesting and fun! The fog horn going on all night ...

Cruising with my grand children

My daughter chose this cruise because it was before the school year started. Young children have many things to do. However, it was very crowded and extremely noisy everywhere. The entertainment was excellent. The casino was very Smokey and unpleasant. They had outdated stools to sit on and very few comfortable chairs. The machines are quite outdated and uninspiring. The video poker inventory was ...

Canada New England cruise very disappointing

We were looking forward to this cruise, but compared to Mediterranean cruises, the ports were very ordinary. The cut backs are a major disappointment. While I can deal with only one servicing of your room a day. Gone are kettles to make your morning cuppa, or one in the night when you can’t sleep. The food has been cut back to an unexceptionable level. Who doesn’t like ice cream with a ...

For First Time Cruisers This Was An Amazing Experience

A cruise ship this size is really impressive the first time you are on one. It's is older but looked great to us. We liked the ship, our cabin, the ports we visited and the shows very much. We even got used to the 80s music all over so that we missed it when we got home. It was very cheerful and so are the staff, who are well trained. I have never had so many people trying so hard to make me ...
