We had cruised previously (Panama Canal, Caribbean, Mexico) but this was our first cruise in eleven years. From the various reviews I read, I was expecting a significant decline in service, food and, well, just about everything. Seems like most reviewers liked past cruises much better... Not us. This transatlantic cruise was just fine.
The Liberty was big enough to never really feel crowded. ...
We had a great cruise and a very good time on RCL's Liberty if the Seas.
We started our holiday spending 4 nights in Madrid followed by 2 nights in Barcelona ,then 13 nights on the cruise ship.
Food-As for the cruise we were travelling alone so we booked a large table in the Main a Dining Room.we were seated at a table for 10 with only 7 people there. Our table mates were great with good ...
We have sailed previously with Royal Caribbean on three seven day cruises in the Med so this was a real treat.
We did our own little touring around on our ports of call and really enjoyed Cadiz, Spain. the landscape in the Canary Islands was stunning.
The weather was fantastic with sun bathing days barring one half day where the pools where closed due to moderately rough seas on the first day ...
This was our 2nd transatlantic crossing and I found it just to be ok. The ship is in need of major repairs.
The hallway to our cabin always had a very strong odor. There were issues with the bathroom flooding after using the shower and toilet in our cabin did not work properly many times. The gym was big and could have been very nice if more of the equipment would have been working. We had the my ...
We are prairie people from Saskatchewan and are in our mid 50s. This cruise seemed like a good deal in that for $1399 pp we had a balcony cabin on the bump-out, Premium Drinks package, and a $200 on-board credit. Though well over a year's time away, we booked it. One way airfare from Winnipeg (where we now reside) to Barcelona well in advance was initially $2200 Cdn. per person! Flying a day ...
First TA cruise for us, we are not seasoned cruisers by any stretch of the imagination, but had a ball on this journey. Met some really interesting people, and really had time to relax and do everything we wanted to.. as normally it's a port every other day, and there's no chance to explore the ship or do all the activities you want to do..
I thought that maybe 13 nights would be too long, but it ...
The Pros first!
-nice weather.... never better!
-staff and food, as per usual, wonderful
-ice show "as per usual" fabulous (other shows, I had seen half of them)
-live music around the pool was great (I have been in some transatlantic that has had also the undexpected good weather that hasn't taken the initiative to adapt to this good event)
BUT the cons, is what "if I had known, I would have ...
We've been with RCCL since 1987 and we've been on many cruises with them. We are emerald members with their Crown & Anchor Society, however, you'd never know it. For our loyalty at this level, there were really no perks. As members we are to be invited to different private parties, but we never got invited to anything. There are suppose to be other perks such as discounts and coupon offers...We ...
This was our very first Transatlantic Cruise. We arrived in Barcelona 2 days prior to the cruise. We stayed at the Torre Cataluna Hotel right a crossed from the main Train Station. I would give it a 4 1/2 star rating. We had a suite and the most fascinating view.
We boarded the ship quite easily. The 13 days on the ship were just great. The menu in the dinning room was good but with minimal ...

Liberty of the Seas / Barcelona, Tenerife Islands, Canary Islands, Ft. Lauderdale
What can I say about this cruise and ship. Well I can start with wow!
For quite sometime I have been reading mixed reviews about the Liberty and I respect each and everyone of them and I hope you'll be kind enough to do the same. This is our third cruise on RCCL an my partners ...
