We booked for the West Med cruise departing from Barcelona calling at Provence (Marseilles), Villaefranche (Monaco & Nice), La Spezia (Pisa & Florence), Civitavecchia (Rome) and Naples on the Liberty of the Seas. I would recommend that prior to departing you register to the online Royal Caribbean system to be able to check in online. We tried to change our registered bank card for this on here ...

1. My time dining means nothing, organised chaos, no times available between 7.30 and 8.45 on any night 2. Entertainment or should I say lack of. Some nights no shows at all. When shows were on, only once was there an early and late performance to suit all dining times. 3. No ironing facility (unlike P&O) and $5.00 dollar charge per item for the ship staff to do it, rip off. 4. Bar prices 50% ...

Not a 'Royal' experience

Just arrived home from a 7 night cruise on Liberty of the Seas around Spain, France and Italy. The ship was clean, food OK, but Botticelli's Restaurant certainly wasn't the fine dining experience we'd expected. The My Time dining, just doesn't work - long, frustrating queuing just to get a table, slow service, poorer than average food. Guest Services really need a shake up, again, long queues, ...

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Liberty of the Seas

Our family selected Royal Caribbean's Liberty of the Seas based on the Mediterranean ports that were offered, the price of the cruise, and the date of embarkation. Although there were many positives to our cruise, there were far too many negatives for our liking. We had pre-booked private shore excursions for each of the scheduled ports. Unfortunately, due to poor weather conditions we missed out ...

This was our first cruise to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary. For some reason I was unable to book this cruise myself either on the web site or by phone. Persons manning the phones didn't know what they were doing and never phoned me back. I ended up using a travel agent who also had problems. I should have taken this as an omen and booked with another cruise line. The travel agent ...

Suite was big, service was thin, food was poor, ship too big

1. Our suite was very big. It had a walk in closet and a bath. However, we hardly ever saw our attendant except when he was trying to get us out of the room for him to clean. On our other cruises, especially on Princess, the attendant tried to form a relationship with us. We did notice a few attendants who were always around their staterooms taking care of little details, but very few.2. Service ...

Okay we don't cruise often, but we do listen to the experience of others. So wanting to do something different to celebrate our 50th birthdays we booked to cruise on Liberty of the Sea. Liberty means freedom right? Freedom to take you for a ride around the Med and empty your bank account! Having paid for our holiday we didn't expect to pay for it all over again. The dining ...

Royal Caribbean - 5 Night Short Mediterranean CruiseApril 16, 2011We were originally supposed to be on the Splendour of the Seas on April 14th, sailing from Lisbon to Venice. That cruise was cancelled by RCCL because they decided they needed more drydock time to rehab the ship.We decided to keep the airline schedule and tickets we already paid for and make a vacation within those destinations. ...
