I am currently on the Jewel of the Seas on the TA cruise from Fort Lauderdale to Southampton. We flew to Miami on the 4th April with American Airlines. This was the first time flying with them and I was very impressed with the whole experience. There was more leg room than with other airlines we had used in the past and the boarding process was much more organised. The airline crew were very ...

My dream was to cross the ocean in comfort during my lifetime. It was all so easy. Our cabin attendant introduced herself right away and explained that for the next 12 days, we were not to worry about anything. We opted for a suite, and indeed the extra space and amenities made a big difference. Thirty-four drawers for storage and two built-in wardrobes. Very pleased how well the A/C worked. Beds ...

This was my first cruise following the pandemic, my last being December 2019. I chose this as I love T/A cruises, so many sea days to savour. I chose the Jewel as I don’t like huge ships, the Jewel is 2500 passengers and there were only 1200 on this cruise! The ship is a delight, so much wood and glass it is beautiful. All areas were sparkling clean and staff were fantastic ...

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Jewel of the Seas

We did consecutive cruises for a total of nineteen nights on Jewel. Terrific Itinerary with nine different islands in the Med included. As others have stated, Jewel of the Seas is tired, mostly showing in our balcony stateroom. Chipped paint in the bathroom. Rust on the balcony. Drawers and cabinets literally falling apart. The mattress was hard, the pillows awful, and the sheets were ...

This was our 7th overall Cruise (3rd with Royal) and I will say personally - we enjoyed this Cruise as our best overall. My wife and I celebrated a significant wedding anniversary and our thoughts/ratings were consistently similar. I waited one week so I could absorb and let saturate all of our experiences. First - the condition of the ship we both thought was Excellent. Our cabin (we ...

Positives: The balcony stateroom we had on deck 10 was comfortable, lots of clothes hanging space and hangers. Asked for dressing gowns and they were provided for us without hesitation. Excellent quality food at all meal times - in Tides restaurant and Windjammer - with so much variety. Could bring 2 x bottles of wine onboard on embarkation day (but note not at any port stops during ...

This was our first ever cruise & we chose Royal Carribean due to their reputation. Unfortunately the reality did not live up to the expectation. The boarding at Barcelona was smooth enough and we were walking onto the ship within 45 minutes after our check in time but events soon took a turn for the worse. We were informed our luggage would be delivered to our stateroom but after 2hrs on the ...

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Jewel of the Seas

At first I had a cruise booked on the Rhapsody of the Seas from Venice to Barcelona which got postponed, and then cancelled. I then wanted to do the Harmony but I was lead to believe Italy did not want UK residents due to high Covid levels, so eventually settled for the Jewel out of Cyprus. So we travelled by train from Nottingham to London and then on to Gatwick the day before and stayed at ...

Our first cruise ever. Picked this because of the cost and route. Once on board, the ship is beautiful. Spotlessly clean. The service and staff are so friendly. The standard staterooms are slightly small. The balcony was good. We were on the 8.30pm meal time and you get your table for the whole cruise. This is nice as you get the same staff looking after you for each meal. The meals are so good. ...
