Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Rhapsody of the Seas

All in all the cruise was really good. The ship is good only for port intensive cruises. I would avoid it for a transatlantic crossing. This was our first time on the Rhapsody. We had been on many other Royal Ships before including the Splendor, so we thought we knew the ships but this one stood out because there was no golf course. My own fault for not checking before booking, but be ...

Overall we were very happy with the ship. It was clean, the staff was excellent, the Captain was great. The ship was easy to navigate, the food was very good and in the Windjammer Café they offered a lot of variety. It did not seem that there were many activities going on during the day and other than rock climbing, table tennis and shuffle board I do not believe there was anything else for ...

Met most expectations for an enjoyable cruise.

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Vision of the Seas

Overall: I had an enjoyable vacation. I was never "wowed" on board, nor was anything terrible on board (well, except for the coffee, which was about the worst I've ever tasted). This was my 6th cruise in 7 years, so I do not fall into the category of avid cruiser. Previous cruise experiences included 3 Celebrity, 1 Royal Caribbean (Radiance), and one NCL. Embarkation: Embarkation in ...

We booked this cruise about a year out because it had 3 areas we really wanted to see: Istanbul, Egypt and Israel. Unfortunately due to the "Arab Spring" Egypt was dropped as a port so we got one more port in Greece and they added an overnight in Israel. A plus was that due to the unrest in the region the price of our cruise kept dropping and we ended up with a really good deal, almost a quarter ...

Chosen for the itinerary, but the ship didn't disappoint

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Vision of the Seas

Chosen for its interesting itinerary, this cruise from Istanbul went to Haifa, Ashdod, Athens, Kusadasi, back to Istanbul. And it gave good shore time, including overnites & evening departures. We're Brits, we booked late through a T/A who had an excellent eye for an opportunity. The ship had obviously been under-booked, so with RCI slashing prices but no flight availability, the T/A had lined ...

The ship stayed in Istanbul the first night. This made for a pleasant embarkation. I arrived at 2 pm (12 noon opening) and walked right on the ship. There were no lines and my luggage was in the room in an hour. We explored the ship and ate at the WindJammer. Please note that if you are talking the Metro (formally Tram-1), don't get off until the second to last stop. I got off just past the ...

We decided to take this cruise in August after being offered a great deal by KLM for a flight to the Middle-East even though we were just coming back from a cruise on the Voyager of the Seas on the Adriatic . We had always wanted to visit Israel and the Palestine so this was like a dream coming thru . There was a 12 hours stopover in Amsterdam which meant that the embarkation on the Vision of ...

A Holy Land Cruise/Pilgrimage or Bucket Wish List No.10

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Vision of the Seas

My Darling Aunt had booked this cruise for us, as we both wanted to visit the Holy Land and it was a priority on my Bucket list. I also was keen on experiencing a Royal Caribbean Cruise myself as my Aunt had always told me how wonderful they are. Since I have been in hotel management for some time I always go by the motto 'one gets what one pays for', and when our agent sold us the cruise at a ...

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Vision of the Seas

Our ship was the best we have been on and the ports of call the most interesting. The ship although over 20 years old was fantastic. Very modern looking with lots of space for passengers to spread out. Two pools, one outdoor and the other indoor. I counted 6 hot tubs. They are fairly small, with not very hot water and often crowded. You had to pick your time at the hot tub unless you wanted ...
