Chose this cruise because we have been on this ship twice before. Western Med ( Spain and Portugal). 19th Sept - 2nd Oct 2016. Standards have slipped and prices have risen. A glass of wine was 10 -12 dollars each. A bottle of water was $5. 18% tax added onto all drinks. The cost of tours from the ship were outrageously expensive. They now charge £5 to £10 for shuttle busses from ship ...

Our adventure started with an overnight flight to London Heathrow. As we landed Friday morning we had roughly 24 hours to experience London. We arranged for Smiths (Smithsforairports.com) to handle each leg of our transfer (to hotel, to port, to Heathrow). Cost was reasonable, drivers were early each leg, and arrangements were easily handled. I elected to pay each driver at the end of each leg the ...

This was our 4th RCI cruise, each of them have been 2 week long european cruises. Our children think they are the best possible holidays. We mainly chose this one because the dates fitted our vacation dates & we didn't want to repeat a previous itinerary. This was the biggest ship we'd been on, so our 1st experience with a promenade, ice rink , & flow rider. My 17yo & 14yo daughters said the ...

We have been cruising on and off for 12 years and most of it has been done with RCI or Celebrity, though this cruise was the first Royal trip since 2005. I'd read a lot before booking and was a bit concerned that the emphasis with the line had changed and I wasnt sure that it was going to still suit us, but the dates were good for the half term holiday in the UK so we booked anyway. With 6 of us ...

I used RCCL.com for the booking. When I was to preorder a dining experience in Chops Grill, I managed to book the wrong date, then the problems started. There is a possibility to change that online, but when I did that only one of the two persons were changed to the correct date. Tried to change the other one, wich was not possible. I then called there booking and asked them to do it. They were ...

I decided it would be a nice idea for my 13 year old son and I to cruise together during the half term holiday. We decided to sail from Southampton to avoid the airports and we chose The Independence of the Seas for our first father and son cruise. I should add that I've cruised before but it was my son's first cruise. I'll list this review into categories showing what I consider to be the plus ...

I cannot commend this holiday more. I know this is late as it has been about half a year but when we booked our cruise I loved looking at all the reviews. This was our first cruise as a family; 4 of us went - 48 year old, 17 year old, 16 year old and 12 year old. We had decided to pick a cruise as people always talked positively about them saying how they would never go on a normal holiday again ...
