We were SO looking forward to this cruise, but sadly it just wasn't up to par for us. We are a family with two teens and our previous experiences with RCI have been fantastic, so we felt confident choosing this cruise.
The staff for the most part are fantastic, friendly, attentive and we loved to hear about their families and life at sea. I honestly don't know how they do it, away from ...
Boarded the ship in Honolulu. Ease of check-in very good. Activities were lacking and mostly centered around sales pitches, such as a Good Feet presentation. There were 13 at sea days with very little to do. We had a deck 3 inside cabin which was very nice. However, there was nothing to watch on TV except sales presentations -- no current news at all. Ports were -- Moorea, Tahiti, Bora Bora ...
We boarded easily in Honolulu without any difficulty even though a trainee checked us in (under close supervision by a manager). Unfortunately, after entering the ship, there was no one accessible to guide us-thank goodness we were familiar with cruising and knew what to do, but it missed the Welcome Aboard factor.
We had a superior balcony and it was just a bit larger than we expected. It ...
As with any holiday it is the people that make it. Thanks to all of our Cruise Critic friends who helped make this an incredibly awesome 28 day trip. I would however not sail on the Radiance again. The ship itself is very tired looking and everything cries for a spruce up, not only in public areas but the cabins as well. The washrooms were always a problem either in the common areas or our cabin. ...
Ship is looking very tired. Buffet food was just ok. Pillows must be 100 years old and hard as rocks. We had a balcony room which was very small. The shower was the smallest shower I have ever seen in my life and trying to wash one self without becoming attached to the plastic shower curtain was an effort.
The toilets on one complete block of rooms stopped working over several days. A ...
This was our second Royal Caribbean cruise and first time on this ship and it was wonderful!!! The Radiance is definitely a beautiful ship and the crew are very polite and always took the time to greet us where ever we were on the ship.
We opted for My Time Dining and this worked well most nights as we got to sit next to different people and on the last few nights we opted to dine with people we ...
This is the worse cruise my family and I have ever been on. We were told royal carribean was a top class ships to go on better then p&o. Well it was huge let down from the day we steped on the ship. The cabins are not designed for more then two people, however they let you book four in a room.
You are expected to sleep on the floor. The sofa pull out bed is no bed it's wood frame no mattress on ...
Right from the start you get a feeling how things are going to turn out. Call it quirky, I don't know, but it happens. We are on Diamond level & get the odd perk or two, but just getting on the ship was a little more difficult than usual. We also had a suite which put us virtually straight through check in, but some how they shafted us to the wrong line & yes we got caught up. A few questions & a ...
Six of us sailed on this cruise from Hawaii to Sydney and from embarkation to disembarkation the whole trip was appalling. The people at the check in didn't seem to know what they were doing and gave us all the wrong cruise passes. Once on the ship we seem to have many a communication problem with the staff who on most occassions barely spoke english. Whilst they seem friendly enough, the fact the ...
This was our fourth cruise on Radiance, and the ship is lovely as ever. Embarkation and disembarkation were as smooth as could be, and the service was up to the usual excellent standard we have come to expect on RCL. Any problem we experienced was attended to immediately (they were only very minor.)
Food in the Windjammer where we ate breakfast and lunch each day was of an excellent standard, ...
