We had never been to Hawaii and decided to take this cruise that left from Honolulu and went to 5 islands in Hawaii. This was our 13th cruise with RC and our second on the Radiance. The ship was in good condition (NOT a rust bucket as one person described it). The cruise can be divided into three phases. #1 Getting on the ship in Hawaii was very stressful after flying over from the east coast but it was not RC's or the ships fault. we were in cabin 1588 on tenth deck. The Radiance has been done over and everything is so new in the cabins. The Embarkation was really bad but no fault to the crew. Disembarkation in Vancouver was horrible. Trying to get 2000 people upstairs using one elevator People coming on to the ship were coming down same elevator. There should have been security around to help with crowd control.

The Cruise Director, Steve Davis, was over the top good. Still can't believe he taught 40 passengers to do Michael Jackson's Thriller zombie dance, which they actually performed to the music as a coordinated group in costume and makeup in the central plaza on the last night. Bravo.

We fancied this trip for a very long tip because of the routing.
Our cabin 9056 was spacious and nice - not too clean but we've enjoyed it very much.
The water temperaturee was an issue with 43° this has been fixed after over 5 complaints.
Matresses have been worn down - we did received some matress toppers that bettered the situation a bit, but it was still not good.

I have been punnishing RCL for 12 years, since they completely ignored my complaints about my experience on the Majesty of the Seas in 2004. This itinerary and my new bride was the only reason I decided to try them again. I wasn't expecting much since Radiance is an older boat without a recent refit. I must say we were pleasantly surprised with few exceptions.

We chose this cruise because we had done the same one 2 years before and loved it. Our cruise was actually booked for us by a friend (while onboard Legend of the Seas) the day it became available for sale, this was 16 months before sail date.

We were on Radiance of the Seas leaving HNL September 20 of this year. Upon checking in we found our assigned room, 8008, was filled with the overpowering stench of harmful sewer gas. Opening the stateroom and balcony doors did not alleviate it.
