Review for a Transpacific Cruise on Quantum of the Seas

This was our 5th Royal Caribbean cruise and first on Quantum. We chose ship due to North Star, bumper cars and itinerary etc BUT North Star was broken and inoperative entire cruise and out of the 4 stops we only stopped at 2 due to Cyclone Lola. Cyclone Lola was known to the “sailing/cruise experts” however we were not told until after boarding. North Star not working and bumper cars were open 3-4 ...

This is by far and away the WORST cruise we have ever been on and we cruise a couple times each year. We purchased this cruise in June of 2023. This was prior to the Maui Fires. The cruise was to leave Vancouver and start the 6 day Pacific crossing, however due to the Maui fires the two days/nights we were to spend in Lahaina were off the itinerary. Instead Royal Caribbean made the decision ...

I have been cruising every year since 2010, as my mother and I share a birthday, we like to celebrate with a trip, making this my 12th cruise (took 2 yrs off for Covid) and other then the first 3 (which were with Carnival) I have been a die-hard Royal Caribbean loyalist. I tell EVERYONE that although more expensive, they have better food and more comfortable beds. However that all changed 2 weeks ...

Great itinerary from Sydney to Honolulu. Headliners entertainment was very good. As for spectrum cabaret was just a waste of time.. As for the dining room tables are pushed close together we spent most of our time eating in the Windjammer for breakfast and lunch. If you’re lucky enough to have eat at the coastal kitchen, the food was outstanding. Pool area was crowded. There is a rule posted ...

We tried this cruise to see if we could enjoy the longer length and master the art of sea days. We failed. There were two couples in our 60s. We don't attend the dance parties, but enjoy the theatre productions and trivia sessions. Day One- Embarkation- Vancouver and RCCL handled it brilliantly. We had a rental car and dropped the spouses off early before returning the rental at the airport. It ...

Worst Trans-ocean Cruise

We’ve done many transatlantic and transpacific cruises, most of which offered many activities and good entertainment for the many sea days. Unfortunately, this 18-day transpacific cruise was sorely lacking in both entertainment and enrichments opportunities, and was a boring experience overall. This was made all the worse by inclement weather that forced us to spend a lot of time indoors. And the ...

I haven't been on a Royal Caribbean cruise for a while (5 years) and was disappointed with this service. I wanted to "fly" and was super excited to go on the iFLY attraction - which was why we chose this ship. This allowed me to float in a wind tunnel, which was a great experience. However be advised that you need to book this attraction ASAP or else risk not being able to try it at all. You ...

Excuse after excuse

From the time ROyal Caribbean changed the itinerary conveniently 59 days before sailing, to the chaos created in baggage claim at disembarking, the most common words from ships staff was “We apologize”. The ship board staff constantly had to make excuses and apologize for numerous situations they had difficulty dealing with. AVOID this ship......while the ship itself is marvelous and a great ...

Ship is beautiful but terrible itineraries and food

The other reviewers of this cruise have basically said it all. The itinerary change was super disappointing. We were so looking forward to going to the big island and seeing the volcano. Then RCI just axed the stop completely. At the Lahaina, Maui stop, tendering was delayed due to rough sea. Everybody got up early wanted to get off the ship but was not able to so that's why all the public ...
