We have never posted a review on cruise critic before. We are not sure if we are just not so much in awe of this class ship as we previously were on the Oasis and the Allure but we felt this ship did not compare. We were happy with our Ocean balcony cabin but our cabin steward was mediocre. The dining room food was decent but again, mediocre. The Windjammer had better food than the dining ...
Great Entertainment. See all the shows but book online before your cruise and still arrive 30-45 minutes early for best seats.
Great Speciality Restaurants. Buy the package before you cruise online.
Main Dining Room. Crowded, slow service, food fair to poor. Plan at least 2 hours for dinner.
No Ice Cream at the Buffet . Only one soft serve machine for 7,000 guests. Ran out of ...
Our embarkation went very smoothly as did disembarkation. Disembarkation was slower than embarkation but considering the number of passengers this was expected.
The Diamond lounge was pathetic, even with 3 venues open they could not accommodate the number of members on board (approximately 2600) the Diamond Concierge had a few members that he clicked with and would spend the time socializing ...
We sailed from Civitavecchia on a short three nghts to get to Barcelona before a 13 night sailing across the Atlantic (TA) to Miami. Just off the Florida coast we met up with Allure of the Seas and Oasis of the Seas for a photo op.
We were on the Allure of the Seas last year and have sailed on 24 cruises with RCI and five with Celebrity. Last month we sailed on MSC for the first time. These ...
Thought it would be interesting to try a new large ship. It was interesting. Ship was large and crowded. Not enough seating in public areas. Shows were better than some of the other ships. Food was mediocre. I do have to say, our Dining room team was one of the Best we have ever had. The rest. was no big deal. Will stick with the smaller ships.Activities were good for kids. Did not ever get ...
We chose this cruise to be able to enjoy seeing Europe. We took an arranged tour for the morning we arrived that was a Royal Caribbean offering. It was given by a woman whose English was hard to understand. We had one stop to use the facilities and take a few pictures. When we got back on the bus she did not have much to say. I promptly fell asleep and woke when it was over.
Boarding was ...
We decided to go on a cruise as we had never been before and thought it would be something different. We choose Harmony of the Seas as it was one of the newer ships and it looked beautiful!
On first sight the ship looked beautiful and much bigger than expected! Boarding the ship was very efficient and hassle free with very helpful staff; we were in our room within half an hour. We had booked a ...
We recently completed a seven-night Western Med cruise on Harmony, embarking in Rome on October 6. We are my 62 y.o. husband, and me, celebrating my big 6-OH on the cruise. I’d consider us well-traveled and energetic, but not committed cruisers. On this trip, we started with a cruise around Greece on a very small ship, which needless to say, was a completely different experience. We had ...
I have been on 4 other cruises with all but one being on RCCL. I normally don't do reviews for my trips that due to all the negativity about the ship I thought it be necessary to give what I feel is a fair and realistic review of the ship and my experience. I have not cruise for over 10 years so my experiences and interpretations of various things maynot be accurate. Please understand that my ...
We've cruised with different cruise lines and on this occasion we were taking the in laws for their first cruise. They specifically wanted to go to the Vatican so a trip round the Med ended up being the obvious solution. As they weren't sure that cruising would be their thing, we booked the Harmony of the Seas on the basis that if you might only be going once, might as well go big!
The ship is ...
