We were sold this as an inaugural cruise, it was not, in fact even the cruise director alluded to it as a test voyage or words to that effect, And it certainly was testing! areas closed down, not enough seating, at times it seemed like there were more contractors on board then passenger's, areas all around the ship still being worked on. Toilets on one deck had no fittings, no proper sanitary ...
My wife and I have just returned from the maiden voyage of Royal Caribbean's Harmony of the Seas from Southampton to Barcellona sailing 29th May 2016. As you can imagine, the ship is huge, but don't let that put you off. There is so much to do, even on a sea day, you run out of time before its time for diner. With all the neighbourhoods that are availible there is always something to do. A coffee ...
We were greeted at Southampton port by very friendly helpful staff and because we had already printed our sea passes they checked us in on their iPads. We were then free to board the ship we live in hythe near Southampton and we got a taxi to the terminal and from leaving home to getting to our room was 45 minutes very impressive. When we entered our room there were hats flags and pass holders ...
First, the class of Ships we were not unknown, but there is much to discover new. Everyone who said that I already know, better was taught. Here the Oasis-class was Advanced models, I would describe it as Oasis-Plus.
Certainly the Department still needs more work per se, but it all worked. The Team grows. It was a wonderful trip with great weather, great for a Maiden Voyage.
The Cabin, the ...
This was me and my wife's 5th year wedding anniversary. It was great. We enjoyed everything. This was our second cruise and our first with Royal Caribbean. If there was anything that could have been better it was the food in the windjammer. It wasn't bad but it wasn't amazing at all either. It was just mediocre compared to other places on the ship that you have to pay for. We went to Izumi, ...
I originally booked the maiden cruise from Southampton to Barcelona long before they added the two 3 and 4 night preview cruises which I will review separately.
The contrast to the 3 and 4nt cruises was amazing, with most of the contractors disembarked and 99% of things operational those just joining were all asking the same question, what could have been wrong?
Ironically of the two weeks ...
I had the wonderful experience of sailing on the Maiden voyage of Harmony of the Seas sailing from Southampton. I have met some lovely friends who were lucky enough to sail on the four and three night cruises. My friends on the three night cruise had experienced some minor issues but nothing that took away from their experience on Harmony. The experience at Southampton was fun and amazing and I ...
Family of 10 with age range of 9 adults being - 27, 28, 29, 31, 33, 35, 37, 51, 60 and a child aged 6.
This was a family trip for our dads 60th Birthday.
Cabin: superior ocean view stateroom - very spacious with lots of storage space for all your clothes and bits and bobs, nice dressing table and full length mirror in the room. Shower good size with plenty room for all toiletries etc. ...
Boarding was excellent. Great service, staff were amazing. Really great shows and entertainment. Lots to do for children. The only thing I would recommend is a ocean view balcony as not a really nice bar were you can sit and watch the sea go by. Most things on this ship are internal. The ship was kept very clean.
The cabins are really nice with lots of storage, the safe is small. American and ...
This was a family get together and 3 nights was a good option for us. Embarkation experience was excellent but do advise on line check in beforehand. Lovely cabin, spacious, nice decor. Windjammer buffet cramped. Difficult to move around in so would not recommend. Dinners in Grande dining room normal cruise fare- nothing outstanding and food often not warm enough but Shadiek was wonderful ...
