Several years ago, the wife and I took a Royal Caribbean cruise that fell below our expectations. After a few year hiatus from cruising, we decided to try a different cruise line. We left out of Galveston, Texas and it was pretty smooth getting checked in. Once we got to waiting to board area it was a bit confusing and the pressure sales for drink packages and dinner packages started. Once we got on the ship it was nice. Rooms were originally supposed to be ready at 1 pm. That changed to 1:30 and then 2 PM. Not a huge deal just would have been nice to know the exact time. ...

We were onboard for a Destination wedding. Food was just average and baked pastries like donuts, rolls, buns, cookies tasted as if they were frozen and reheated. The ship was very clean and the food was great. The main dining wait staff was outstanding. All staff were kind and courteous. Embarking was painless, it was a very well organized process. There are so many things to do on the ship that on our cruising days, we still had plenty to do.
