We chose this particular cruise based on being the Allure, and it's itinerary of the Eastern Caribbean. This is our 8th cruise with RCCL, and our 2nd time on the Allure. Prior to boarding we spent a few days in Hollywood, Florida at the Diplomat which has some great restaurants, pools, and beach access. Once on the ship, we did not dine in the main dining room, but chose to try the ships specialty ...
Go big or stay home!
The Royal Caribbean Allure of the Seas was a fantastic experience! There were 6,400 guests on board and we never felt crowded!
The service was excellent.
The food was incredible! Get the 3-Specialty Restaurant package - it is well worth it!
Book your breakfast room service delivery the night before - no extra cost - what a lovely way to start your day!

We chose this cruise due to the timing (Spring Break). In Tennessee we have an early spring break which somewhat unfortunately coincides with collage spring break. That was our only hesitation at booking this cruise. Yet, we were very satisfied with our decision. Our family includes two boys ages 13 and 11. We had a Family Oceanview Stateroom. We felt like there was plenty of room for the four of ...
I chose this cruise to experience the largest cruise ship in the world. Lines were long at windjammer and people were rude. Chops was delicious. Thankfully there was park café and solarium bistro instead of that annoying windjammer. Spa treatment (Swedish message) was relaxing, but the staff really push to upsell and cross sell their over priced products. Food was a bit better than good. I found ...
Allure of the Seas cruise – and Fort Lauderdale – Trip Report
Who – DH and I (both 60) from the Chicago area
Overall notes: The Allure has a great crew! The service we received everywhere was great – and staff members we’d pass in the halls were always friendly. They work VERY hard – every day – with no days off (just a few hours off here and there) – most with 7 month contracts. So ...
Love the ship and the tons of options. We find it easy to ignore the other 6000+ passengers. Immaculately maintained, excellent service. LOVE set dining times.
Our only complaint is that the quality of the "free" food has decreased. It's very obvious there is cost-cutting going on and the chefs have to deal with a more limited budget. The salads in the Solarium Cafe, our favorite place to eat ...
There is so much to do on this ship you can't do it all. The shows were wonderful, particularly Mamma Mia and Blue Planet - a must-see! The service in the dining room was excellent - they took good care of my daughter with severe food allergies. Our cabin steward was also very good. The Flowriders were a big hit with the kids. 150 Central park was a great experience, the food was excellent. ...
On this cruise, I traveled with a young woman using an electric scooter and her young son with Autism. I was surprised to find that cruise ships are not as HA-friendly as I had believed them to be. (See review of cabin 14301). Some of the accessibility issues were caused by passengers and staff rather than ship structures.
Pros
A million kudos to Mary and Usha, Diamond Lounge concierges!! ...
We chose to cruise on the Royal Caribbean Allure of the Seas because of the ship and itinerary. We are frequent cruisers. We have three children--15, 18 and 20 and we like the freedom and variety of activities that cruising offers for a family with mixed ages. On this cruise we traveled with four adults, two 20-year-olds, two 18-year-olds, and one 15-year old. I wish I had more good to say, but ...
This was only our 2nd cruise. The first was on NCL and believe me, this won hands down! The embarkation and disembarkation went smoothly. The cabin was roomy enough for 2 and we were totally grateful for the wonderful "hand held" shower massage as it allowed for a lot of pressure. As far as dining, the MDR was "very good" not totally impressive. Some meals lacked taste and not much of a selection ...
