Odyssey of the Seas is stunning!

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Odyssey of the Seas

A little about us: we just retired at the ages of 59 and 63 and this was our 25th cruise (I think). We primarily sail with Royal and Norwegian. We are Emerald status with Royal. We booked this cruise 48 hours before sailing! We were told we booked the last available cabin on the ship which was an inside cabin. We always book a balcony but decided to go with it since we were getting a ...

We wanted to go to the southern Caribbean to insure we found warm weather in early January. Also we had never been on this class of ship in our previous 35 cruises on Royal Caribbean and wanted to give it a try. We were successful in our quest for warm weather and enjoyed making our comparison to the other four classes of RCL ships we had sailed on over the last 22+ years. Much has ...

Overall really positive experience. I sailed with my husband and boys ages 13 and 7. Lots of amenities, friendly and helpful staff, decent food (when calibrating that it’s a cruise ship serving 6k people), and lots of activities and entertainment to choose from. Many talented musicians. Lots of trivia games. Laser tag was a hit with my kids. Everyone enjoyed the all access tour of the ship and ...

Highs- Ship: the ship is great, although slightly more outdated in certain areas compared to Freedom of the Seas Staff: all super friendly, accessible, and helpful Itinerary: for those who are active, having no full days at sea was really nice if you tend to get a little bored on the ship or need constant activity. We had a day at CocoCay and a day at Nassau Food: main dining room was ...

Our last cruise with Royal Caribbean was on Allure of the Seas several years ago, and we really liked that ship and decided to stick with Oasis class again. This particular cruise was the result of a previous booked cruise on Symphony that we had to cancel and rebook, so the itinerary wasn't the one we would have picked. I had expected Symphony to show some improvements over Allure since it was ...

Haven't been on a cruise in over 20 years. Left Ft. Lauderdale on Monday, 11/27/23. 10 minutes from terminal to 4th deck bar (no joke it was THAT quick). Easy, easy, easy. 4 day cruise - 1 Coco Cay, 1 Nassau. I loved everything about this cruise, including our Jr. Suite, except the food. BIG disappointment. Yes you can have as much as you want, but I really felt like the portions ...

We chose Odyssey for our first cruise back after the pandemic. We usually cruise on Oasis class ships but tried Anthem class this time. Also our family members have never been to Aruba which was another reason for choosing this ship. Embarkation was smooth and efficient and the proactiveness by the RC port staff was amazing. One of our family members was having difficulty walking and the port ...

Good cruise memories with a few "watch outs"

This was our first RCCL cruise and I chose Odyssey due to this Southern Caribbean itinerary. I loved having the 8 nights and the 4 full at-sea days. Ports were also good for beach days. As someone who has cruised Celebrity, Disney and Carnival (never again on that one), I will say this is a mid-choice line, good for families with mixed ages and varied activity levels. We enjoyed the ship - ...

We booked a 4-night Bahamas cruise aboard Liberty of the Seas to celebrate my birthday. Watching the weather forecast ahead of the cruise, I was extremely nervous. They were calling for 20-30 MPH winds and thunderstorms when we were in the Bahamas. Fortunately, before we even left the port, the captain announced that our itinerary needed to be changed because of the approaching cold front. He ...

This was my 2nd cruise but my first on Royal Caribbean. Overall, I had a GREAT time! From the moment we stepped foot inside of the terminal to our return home, the experience was phenomenal and I plan on using RC for my next cruise trip. However, while my vacation was awesome, there are some things that could use room for improvement. I'll start with the PROs and follow up with the ...
