Old ship with mold in the cabins

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Enchantment of the Seas

The ship was really old and our inside cabin on deck 3 was full of mold in the bathroom. The interior was from the 80’s and looked really dull. The service was great though and the restaurants was really nice with awesome service from the waiters. The Theater was also ok and provided various of artists, real proffesional ones. The solarium was humid but not that warm at all, which was a ...

There are management problem on this ship!

This was our second Royal Caribbean Transatlantic crossing and what a contrast. Our 2018 trip was a real pleasure. This November 2022 cruise was plagued by mistakes. Almost every day there were last minute changes, conflicting and often duplicate scheduling of events on the ship. Repeatedly, crew made no seating or staging preparations for events. The Cruise Campus was a mess. Examples: Oe ...

Poor handling of Covid and excursions marred this cruise

I wanted to experience this transatlantic cruise to honor grandparents who braved this experience years ago. This ship, however, was so stable that at times it did not seem to be moving--fantastic weather. The cabin (deck 8 balcony) was excellent. The shower and bathroom area was quite well organized, without the clinging curtain in the ships of old. Elevators were a dream--fast, responsive, ...

First time cruise and last time with RCI

I saw this cruise on TV Cruise 1st channel and booked for the transatlantic voyage to the Caribbean. The fact that it was due to visit Islands that I had previously been to in my teens when I was a young seafarer sailing on cargo ships, before everything went in containers, it was to be a nostalgic voyage as well as my first cruise. Needless to say myself and travel partner arrived at ...

A real eye opener as to how Royal Caribbean views its UK customers

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Explorer of the Seas

This review isn't so much about the ship. More about the way Royal Caribbean went about showing how little they care about their British customers. We found out a few days before leaving that this trip was going to be cut short by 3 days, supposedly because of bad weather. A strange excuse because when you book a cruise, you are told that these ships are so large that they can handle any ...

sorry to say the service and food at the main dining room was very very poor the daily activities seemed for nursery tots. The music and singers around the ship were made for nursing home entertainment. They sang and played the same things all through the crossing. Now to say that the royal caribbean dancers and orchestra were very good as always.Their shows were very good. The movie ...

Disappointing

It was our 50th anniversary and we thought a repositioning cruise would be a great experience. On previous cruises we have always eaten in the dining room for all our meals. We found the food to be cold. My omelets were incomplete, only half of my omelette had filling in it. We tried it again when we gave our review on the ship and they asked us to try breakfast again. The food was still ...

Making Friends Was The Highlight of a Boring Cruise

It pains us to say that this was the worst cruise experience encountered and we have used 5 cruise lines and are Diamond Members with RCCL. Thr cruise was meant to be special for us but was simply a disappointment from day one which then just got worse. The ship looks fine from outside and a joy to look at. Day one emabarkation was excellent, however and accident on day one due to the ...

Chose this cruise because of dates and thought we would try something new. Reviews were good. We travel Celebrity as a rule. Use TAs as transportation Extremely disappointed in this ship. Food was absolutely inedible. First night in Giovanni’s ordered filet medium well.. was medium rare and took 25 minutes for another. Too late. Tho the shrimp was good Chops Ok MDR service poor ...

Second rate in most areas

Food was unimaginative and generally not particularly well prepared. Main dining room menus were repetitive and pushed filet mignon and lobster with expensive add-on prices. Theater screens/projectors were out of focus, old and inadequate. Schooner lounge space was completely inadequate for trivia while main lounge at the rear seemed to be underutilized. Internet was fast but greatly ...
