Ship is an experience

Family and Friends sailed on this ship together. Ship overall is beautiful and HUGE! In comparison to past cruises on Royal and Carnival, I was not impressed with the lack of helpfulness and excitement the staff presented. Our room tenant and wait staff were incredible, but other staff throughout the ship were unwilling to help or explain how things worked or where to go to find what we were ...

Wonderful staff. Extremely friendly and dedicated. Quality of food was great and waitstaff were over the top. We had 3 kids ages 6, 9, 13 yo. They didn't care much for kids program. Pools were ok. Waterslides would have made them much better. Shows were great! The ship is beautiful! Excellent design. Although ship had 6000 guests Never felt crowded or overwhelming. Windjammer was surprisingly ...

We chose this ship because it was the newer one and it replicated new york city...which i love. this was no disappointment. it was amazing. our cabin was nice....shower was awfully small. very clean. our dining experience was excellent!!! our main dining wait staff was amazing. we thoroughly enjoyed going there and interacting with orlando and crew. we felt like we had known them forever. ...

Wonderful family vacation to the Caribbean

We spent the night before the cruise in Orlando at the Springhill Suites near the airport. There were restaurants in walking distance so that was nice. We arrived in Port Canaveral at about 10:30am. Once we got all checked in we only had to wait about 20 minutes to board. It wasn't complicated but there were a lot of people. Just pay attention to when your boarding group is called and don't ...

Liberty of the Seas; avoid this ship

We chose this cruise as we wanted to sample Royal Caribbean after cruising both NCL and Carnival. We found the cruise lacking in many ways. The food overall was disappointing. The few bright spots were the speciality restaurants Chops, and Savor. Giovannis was disappointing as well. We did report our poor experience in the main dining room and it was immediately remedied from a service ...

I Sailed with Royal Caribbean before and was not disappointed. This cruise was also a great experience with plenty to do on and off the ship. The staff is very attentive and friendly. They treat you like royalty. The activities team is awesome and the games are fun. Plenty to do and everyone is invited to participate. I love to dance and let’s just say the music was not disappointing. The shows at ...

First cruise experience - relaxing and wonderful!

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Jewel of the Seas

First Time Cruiser • Age 40s

As a first time cruiser I was nervous booking the Jewel of the Seas for my husband and I - previous reviewers either loved it or hated it. I was also nervous since the Cruise Critic rating was a 3 1/2. What ultimately made the decision for me was the price and the itinerary. I’m so glad that this was our first cruise experience. Initially were going to book a cruise with Celebrity, but we ...

Chose this cruise for the itinerary. Great service and friendly staff on board. Enjoyed the food in main dining room as well as the Windjammer. Felt food was above average to excellent in quality and flavor. Entertainment was good, especially the headliners. Bar service was efficient and friendly. Bought the deluxe drink package and was well worth it. Did not dine in any of the specialty ...

Don't believe the negative reviews about this class of ships as being too big and crowded. The embarcation process at Port Canaveral was a breeze and we were on the ship eating lunch before 12 o'clock. The amount of activities is so vast it is almost impossible to do everything in one week. The entertainment, from a complete production of Cats, to an ice skating show was professionally done and had ...
