This was a great trip. The Jewel is one of the smaller ships but it was perfect for this intinerary because it was so port-heavy. I wouldn't reccomend getting the drink package on this one. It seems like a great idea at first but if you plan to leave the ship every day to visit the islands, it would be more economical to just buy your drinks individually.

Had a company cruise coming up, and my partner was unable to go, and I was informed I owed her a cruise. Well, fair enough, booked this one, and had a lovely time of it. I will say that the city of Miami is a bit expensive and all of our uber drivers got lost at least once, so that was odd, but the cruise itself was fantastic.
While I don't recall his name, our steward was particularly great, ...
Our recent Royal Caribbean Explorer of the Seas cruise was an unforgettable journey, filled with thrilling excursions, cultural immersion, and the luxurious comforts of the ship itself. Every detail, from the attentive service to the exciting destinations, contributed to an incredible experience that exceeded my expectations. From the moment we stepped on board, the dedicated crew made us feel ...
She is an old ship but in incredible condition with a little aging of the body but the inside I thought was very very nice. The staff was amazing, the food was very good, Chops was great. Nothing is ever crowded. We have been on all the oasis class and we realized that they are too big. We met lots of people to talk with and hang out. The bigger ships seemed much colder in that aspect. We ...
We chose this cruise because we like the Radiance class ships and for the port intensive itinerary. Here is a recap of our cruise and final thoughts after returning.
Recap & Final thoughts:
Pre Cruise stay: 2 nights at Condado Ocean Club. Premium Oceanview room. We really liked this hotel. It was clean and the bed was amazingly comfortable. Staff was helpful and friendly. The view from ...
I picked this cruise when I found out my 2 sisters were sailing on it . Jeannie has never been on a cruise so I wanted to make this a special time for her . I boarded the ship and waited in the schooner bar . And enjoyed a mock cocktail before going up to the windjammer . I saw my sister sitting at a table she was so shocked to see me . I was so happy to find them both enjoying lunch . We sailed ...
Yes, sailing in January you take the risk of colder temperatures, this was expected, but not to the degree it turned out to be. The trip started with 6" of snow in Baltimore the morning of departure. Lots were closed at first so crews could plow and passengers leaving the preceding cruise could get to their cars and clean the snow off. Once the lots were opened, the line of cars proceeded. ...
I booked my first cruise with Royal Caribbean as a tribute to a childhood friend (and RCL Employee). I was pleasantly surprised by pretty much everything. My only "complaint" was that the scrambled eggs at the Windjammer were gross, but easily forgiven due to other options. Didn't care for my meal at Jamie's, but that could easily be because truffle based meals just don't jive with my pallet. The ...
This was a company paid cruise and my first one to go on. We had a great time and now would like to go on another! The crew were amazing! The ship was clean and full of activities for everyone in our group of all ages. The food was fantastic. The service in the main dining room was perfect. The rooms were spacious with lots of storage and the stewardess that we had was so kind and beyond helpful. ...
We have been on a total 18 cruises with Disney, NCL, RCL and Holland. This was a four night to Nassau, Perfect Day with two days at sea. We never felt the ship moving, it was smooth sailing all the way. We ate in the main dining each night and the food and service was excellent. You do not need to spend extra money on the specialty dining.
We had a balcony room on the 11th deck and slept ...
