Great Adventure on the Explorer

Review for Explorer of the Seas to Mediterranean

We had a great time on the Explorer of the Seas. Our balcony cabin was spacious and kept very clean, the staff always had a smile on their face and couldn't do enough to make our stay an enjoyable one. There was a terrific band call Top Notch in the Star Lounge that played great music each night. We enjoyed the both the quality and variety of the food in the main dining room. The only ...

We flew down from Newcastle and checked in smoothly and quickly. We found the ship to be very big and luxurious. The cabin was spacious even though it was an inside one, the bed was big and comfortable and our cabin attendant was very good. The dining was excellent, both the free time dining and the three extra restaurants we paid for. The meals were all presented promptly and were hot and very ...

Sailed this beauty on 2nd of October. Such a lovely ship it is clean looks great inside and out. Embarkation was so smooth and cabin was ready at 1pm. 1st time we have had an inside cabin we always have a balcony but I have to say we wouldn't hesitate to have an inside again it was lovely. Information on board was easy to access from the tv in the cabin and all around the ship on each deck ...

we enjoyed it again and of course compared with Adv.of the seas and Brilliance of the seas and the others we were on. We thought that this time there was no stress at all with finding seats on deck, and also we always found a good place to sit and enjoy breakfast. The choice was almsot too much .The service was exellent. The iceshow was probably the best I haveseen. The theatre performances did not ...

Royal Caribean & Explorer of the Sea (Save your money & Don't Bother)

Review for Explorer of the Seas to Europe - Western Mediterranean

Having been with Royal Caribbean several times before we were very keen to travel with them again, on Explorer of the Seas as a new Itinerary for this cruise included the Azores. First of all I must mention the Price it appear that Royal Caribbean on this cruise was charging the UK market far more than in the US and Canada and the difference was excessive. This ship has had troubled times ...

Another Adventure in the Med

Let's get the bad points out the way first. Since last upgrade Explorer has too many passengers compared to deck space. Despite out of season still a challenge to find seats in some bars at peak times. Shops on the promenade vastly understocked. Not helped by some staff bragging of commendation received from over selling on previous cruise, and then not offering you an alternative. Staff in ...

Won't sail Royal Caribbean again.

We choose Royal Caribbean because we have previously cruised P&O and although we had a wonderful time we fancied trying something with a bit of a younger crowd with us being in our 30's. Embarkation was simple 20 minutes max and we were on the ship, we had the select drinks package as part of the holiday but we wanted to upgrade to the ultimate package, there was a table where you could do it ...

This was my 1st cruise & I was rather apprehensive after reading the previous reviews. I had no need to worry though. We drove up to Southampton the day before from South Wales, only took us 3 hours & stayed in the Grand Harbour hotel which was nearly opposite the cruise terminal. The next morning we parked the car in the port, our cases were taken off us there & we didn't see them again until ...

Great Entertainment and Great Service

We have been on Carnival twice to the Caribbeans and two years ago on a Mediterranean cruise on Princess. We felt RC Explorer of the Seas was comparable to Ruby Princess. First of all, the service on this ship was exemplary. Everyone who worked there exceeded our expectations. We thought the entertainment on board this ship far exceeded the entertainment on Princess. The in-house entertainers and ...

Best Cruise So Far!

I have never published a review before, but after the reading lots of bad reviews about this ship, I feel I have to share my positive experience. I have travelled on many cruises in the past but I have found this one to be the best out of them all. The check in process took less than 10 minutes. The entertainment throughout the cruise was good and varied to suit everyone’s tastes from ...
