Was expecting it to be busy but wasn't expecting the type of people this ship attracted.
Very crowded in all public areas, people reserving pool beds from the crack of dawn.
Very difficult to secure a pool bed on sea days.
Royal Caribbean food standards and variety continue to decline as do the drinks, off label brands of drinks used unless asking for named brand.
Massive fight ...
I would really like to give 1.5 stars, so I bumped it up to 2. I was overall pretty disappointed with this cruise. I just felt it was really lacking, and quite honestly, I felt like I was on Carnival a good majority of the time. And it seems as though that was the crowd that RCCL may have been shooting for.
Embarkation/Debarkation: One of not many positives, but easily the best experience ...
First off I want to state that I am a Diamond member and as of writing this not far from Diamond Plus.
The stops here were different which was one of the things I chose.
Curacao
Aruba
Cartegena Columbia
Grand Cayman
Cozumel
For those of you who do not know Curacao and Aruba are arid they are not tropical. So if you are looking for lush green vegetation it will not be there. ...
We planned this cruise due to some of the ports we had not been to. Ports were great but really RC you need to retire this ship. If it takes a smaller ship to get into some of these ports then build a few of these small ships and then don't load them up to the gills with people. This ship was cramped, lines long and old. They didn't even have a soda machine to alleviate the lines at the bars. ...
We have done over 5 Royal Caribbean cruises previously. We were excited to try this newer ship along with new ports and it was a day longer (8 Night) cruise. However, repeatedly on this ship, we experienced horrible service by many of the workers. Granted there are always some that go over the top and are rock stars, but we have never seen this many just flat out BAD people. Royal creates ...
Good day - As always, I give my best and most detailed views whenever we finish a cruise. In this review I will be covering Port Parking, Embarking, Disembarking, Restaurants, Shows, Service and overall experience. Note we are Diamond Members approaching Diamond Plus status with Royal Caribbean with 17 Cruises completed since 2012 so we are not first timers to royal or cruising in general.
As ...
We've been on over 70 cruises, and this one was the worst. Our cabin wreaked of tobacco smoke. The casino wreaked of tobacco smoke. The pool area wreaked of tobacco smoke. Smoke was coming through the ventilation system. It got to the point where it was nauseating. We felt sick. The ship sold cartons of cigarettes... buy three get one free.
In addition, Wi-Fi on the ship didn't work. Our ...
Very disappointing cruise in so many ways. After 40+ cruises we have some idea of the norm one should expect and this was a huge letdown and should be an embarrassment for Royal Caribbean (RC). We put the blame on RC for the poor experience. It seems that they have cut back on staff and there were often no workers to help with things that were needed. Phone calls for assistance were not ...
I chose this cruise for the itinerary which was good. The cabins were comfortable and spacious enough on the interior of the ship. The food had a good selection, but the quality of the food was poor. There was a dish of lamb chunks, one of which was good. Then I went back for more from a different serving dish and were a lot of chunks of fat and arteries, and the whole thing looked disgusting, ...
Wow. Where to begin. I read the reviews before booking and boarding so I knew what we were in for a ship that was small and outdated, but that's not what made this cruise unbearable. We were in an Owners Suite and it was nice. However, it was below Windjammer Cafe and the noise between 2-4am was horrible. Woke us up every night. The service on board was very over taxed and lacking but I could tell ...
