Review for a Middle East Cruise on Vision of the Seas

We wanted to try another cruise, having tried one a few years ago which we didn't enjoy: we thought we might have been unlucky: we weren't, it was awful. Lots of people seem to enjoy it so we must be weird, but hey-ho! Being herded about and charged for everyday living is not my idea of all-inclusive. Wifi costs $20 per day !!!! Even though you pay tips in advance [ we did] they ...

Not a good as last year!

Review for a Middle East Cruise on Vision of the Seas

We chose this cruise to get some much needed rest, sleep and sunshine having done the same cruise on Splendour of the seas last year. We found Vision of the Seas a bit tired and not as nice as Splendour. Embarkation and disembarkation were quite smooth. We found that the menu choices in the Main Dining Room were poor on some evenings. The (always busy) Windjammer food was consistently fresh ...

We did the same cruise on Splendour last year and wanted to get away for winter sun. Everything was very smooth. Boarding at 11.30am went well and our cabin was ready at 1pm and baggage arrived during the afternoon. We travelled on a transatlantic on Vision in 2014 and liked the whole ethos of the ship. From the top down, Captain Marek to the room staff, dining room staff and bar staff, it ...

Disappointing Cruise experience despite some positives. Avoid Cabin 7620.

We did this very same cruise last year when it was the Splendour of the Seas, and booked it again this year (early and paid much more than many guests we met) as we had loved it and rested and relaxed for a whole week in great weather. On the positives of this cruise; we witnessed some excellent members of staff; the cabin was fine (very good bed and pillows and shower); the weather was ...

After reading previous reviews of this cruise i wasn't expecting it to be fantastic, but it was even worse than the review said. We have been cruising for over 10 years with many different cruise companies and this was the worst one I've been on by a long shot The ship was extremely old and outdated. My cabin had wooden pillars on the wall which creaked and cracked every time the boat moved. On ...

A vision to behold!

We decided to cruise on this ship for various reasons. Captain Marek on this vessel, runs and excellent team, and the entire crew seem very happy & interact with passengers very well. At this time of year, the weather on this itinerary is normally very good, without being humid. We decided on a b2b cruise to cover a birthday, & enjoy good weather for longer than a week. The change over from one ...

There are a lot of negative comments about Vision so we were interested to experience it for ourselves. We have cruised with RC before on a similar sized vessel (Splendour) so we were familiar with the modus operandi. Last time we were a little disappointed with the service levels and lack of attention to detail but had no real issues this time. We thought the availability of food in the ...

We flew Emirates to Dubai and that was really excellent. Bigger seats, more legroom, great infotainment system, very large seat screen, really good food, great flight attendants, huge overhead lockers, clean, new, modern, smooth quiet. Loved the A380-800 we went on. Without question the shortest 7 hour flight I have ever done and we would have happily spent another 7 hours playing poker and ...

To be quite honest, we choose this cruise on price, as we were actually in the travel agents paying the final payment for our imminent caribbean cruise with msc and it seemed too good to be real or true! Really, were it not for the msc cruise being that weekend, i might have researched royal caribbean international (rci) out and not gone at all. Otherwise, i simply forgot, after our ...

Good value cruise to UAE

Last minute decision to book this cruise as it was a bargain not to miss - included Emirates flight. Have only travelled with RCI once before, usually go with P and O. Flight and transfer good. Arrived around 7.30am so we were transferred to a hotel for breakfast, then boarded ship around 11am, allowed into cabins around 1pm. First impressions on exterior of ship we thought it looked a ...
