Tired ship, lackluster service, almost everything cost extra

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Navigator of the Seas

We chose this cruise to get an extra 4 C&A points to boost us up to Diamond/Celebrity Elite for booking upcoming cruises. Also, we had not been to Catalina or Ensenada before, so this was a reasonable choice of itinerary. Our dates were constrained as well, so we settled on early November for this cruise. We booked our own flights, and arrived with minimal time due to a 2 hour delay arriving at ...

Our first cruise and we were looking forward to a brilliant experience.. I had watched a couple of YouTube videos and regretted watching them AFTER we'd booked the cruise but being optimistic I hoped for the best. To be fair, and coming from England where everything is run down and broken, the appearance of the ship wasn't too bad. . The problem was the quality of the "extras" and how Royal ...

Royal Caribbean's quality has declined, but Wall Street loves RC's savings!

“In the past year, shares of Royal Caribbean have gained 63.5% compared with the industry’s 3% growth.”… “The company witnessed increased consumer spending onboard and pre-cruise purchases, exceeding 2019 levels due to higher participation at elevated prices.” From Yahoo!finance What does Royal Caribbean’s success on Wall Street mean for a Royal Caribbean cruise customer? Here’s what ...

Anthem of the Seas left us more with second thoughts.

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Anthem of the Seas

Our family sailed with this ship two weeks ago, with the expectation that we would be able to sail to Nassau, Bahamas as part of the entire itinerary. Unfortunately, we never made it there due to their claim that the ship had propeller issues that interfered with their original plans. With this said, this review focuses on the amenities that the Anthem of the Seas had to offer, and made us wonder ...

Enjoyable Cruise but could have been better

To celebrate our 45th Anniversary we chose a cruise to the Caribbean. Having previously sealed on RCLs’ Allure and Oasis we knew this ship, the Anthem, didn’t have all the bells and whistles of those ship, but it fit into our schedule, we booked it. Originally scheduled to stop in Port Canaveral, Nassau and Coco Cay because of engine problems the ship skipped Nassau. As promised RCL, surprisingly ...

Hadn't been on Royal Caribbean for many years--it was still great

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Radiance of the Seas

We were on a 7day Western Caribbean cruise out of Tampa. I see a lot of complaints about this cruise ship on other reviews. Yes, it is an older ship but still beautiful. The atrium in the center of the ship is so nice. Lots of music there every night and games during the day and you can view it from almost any floor. We never had a problem with getting drinks anywhere on the ship--if we ...

My first oasis class cruise !! This was my first oasis class cruise as a solo traveler. + Pros The Royal Promenade had the feeling of being at Disney Springs. The Central Park was like a Botanical Garden. The Board Walk had a Northeast ( Jersey Shore ) look to it. The Aqua Show was Amazing !! The Solarium ( 18+ Pool Area ) had a great view overlooking the front of the ship, ...

My room smelled like urine and the toilets were not working properly for two days

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Mariner of the Seas

My room smelled like urine the last three days that we were on board and the toilets would flush only intermittently the last two days. Multiple cabins in the 3000 section of the ship had the same issue. Multiple room attendants stated that it was an ongoing issue. When we boarded the safe in our room was not attached to anything and we were initially told that it was too late to fix/secure the ...

I have been on allure 3 times. The ship still looks great after the refurbishing. I was on one of the first sailings and I have to day I don't feel it has aged. It is a great ship, with a great layout and really doesn't feel big regardless of its size. The neighborhoods really break things down well. the real change has been to service and food. The food is literally, hit or miss. I suspect ...

Not the usual Royal Caribbean experience

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Anthem of the Seas

I had been on this ship two years ago and loved it. This time, not so much. Way too many kids for this time of year. Itinerary got changed twice. Food was generally abysmal. Very little recognition for being a C&A top tier member. Has really changed and not for the better. The bright spot was debarkation; worked very well, everything flowed smoothly and very quickly. A nice change from the ...
