Small ship but huge in service

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Rhapsody of the Seas

This was our first transatlantic cruise and I have been totally converted. I never imagined we would have such amazing weather in December and be suntanning around the pool. The crew went above and beyond to make the passengers happy. The food in the Windjammer (buffet style) was outstanding with a huge variety of choices, to satisfy the most fussy eaters or those with food allergies. Finding a ...

Chose this cruise for its Itinerary. Embarkation was stress free and we were on the ship within half an hour of arriving at Southampton. Our cabin, on deck 12, was immaculate and impeccably looked after during our stay. We had seen negative reviews of Navigator but had no complaints - the food in the Sapphire Dining Room was excellent with extremely good choice of dishes and the waiters were ...

Chose this cruise because of itenary and we enjoyed visiting each one. Embarkation went smoothly and cabin was ready for 1 pm which was great. Cabin was at front of ship and although nice it was very noisy . Our attendant was fantastic and always welcoming. Din8ng was great in windjammer but not in main restaurant took to long and sat with too many other people. Entertainment great ...

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Independence of the Seas

First Time Cruiser • Age 40s

After numerous holidays in the same destination, we thought our 2 young 7+9 year olds would love a change. This ship did not disappoint at all. Lots to do on board. Sky pad, rock wall. Body surfing. Splash away bay. Later tag. Ice rink. The night time entertainment. We encounter 3 young lads who were enjoying their holidays but seemed to forget there were other people at the show, ...

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Independence of the Seas

We decided to go on this cruise as it was out with school holidays, or so we thought, and the ship had just had a major refit. Not everything had been revamped, but several outdoor areas are now catering for the young, & Young at heart ! We are not interested in children's activities, and would prefer that children are limited to their pool area, or at least have the use on only one of the main ...

Wonderful transatlantic cruise

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Jewel of the Seas

This was our second cruise with RCL. We chose the Jewel of the Seas because of the ports of call and it fitted best in our holiday planning. The embarkation and and disembarkation went very smoothly! It was impressive. We landed in San Juan at 10:30 and were on board eating lunch at 12. In Cicitavecchia/Rome our meeting time for disembarkation was 7:15 and we were at the airport at 08:50. I ...

One of the Best Royal Ships we experienced being new Diamond Members

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Jewel of the Seas

As a New Diamond Member with Royal Caribbean and have done more then 42 Cruises with various companies. We are proud and pleased with the Enterainment on the Jewel of the seas. The " Fly On" acts i think were a lot more presentable and distinguished then the Ships production shows themselves. The Singers and dancers were probably the weakest then most ships. However the ship was BUSY! with tons ...

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Jewel of the Seas

Transatlantic cruises are our favorite! We choose this cruise because date worked. Turns out it was one of our best cruises (30+ cruises). We flew to San Juan late on Saturday & stayed at airport hotel (very convenient), took taxi ($19 plus tip) and arrived at port around 11am. The port was chaos and porters rude. Demanded tip before they would take bag (this was only negative of our ...

Best transatlantic ever

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Jewel of the Seas

RCCL offered a very attractive price for this cruise, and we were looking for a smaller ship (i.e., less than 3,000). The Jewel is not new, but it has been kept up well and the public rooms are all very nice and comfortable. The service was outstanding, starting with a very visible and friendly captain from Canada. Everything operated very efficiently and, if something was to our dissatisfaction, ...
