Typical Royal Caribbean cruise - there were both high points and low points

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Navigator of the Seas

Every Royal Caribbean seems to have both high and low points, and this one was no different. Prior to the cruise, we attempted to purchase all of out excursions online, primarily because they were offered at a 25% discount. So we selected all of them, but when we attempted to pay for them, the system failed repeatedly. When we contacted customer service, and they said that the system DOES have ...

Overall Okay Ship

Joining friends, we went for the itinerary. We are fans of Celebrity and found this ship was too large for us. Especially the Promenade. At times not only could you not walk through but the entertainment was excruciatingly LOUD. Ship's excursions were okay, nothing fancy or exciting. We also found the Windjammer Cafe was hard to find seats even though they had crowded the floor with table ...

We chose this cruise for the itinerary. We were not enthusiastic about the size, and the large number of passengers, but the itinerary was our goal. The ship was SO crowded - on sea days, the Promenade was clogged with people; the tiny library was almost always full (no cash earnings, there, I guess) and the Windjammer was chaotic. We were mainly happy with the food, although usually not ...

Enjoyable Trip - some great things and some areas for improvement

Overall, I was pleased with my trip and had a great time. There are certain areas that really stood out positively for me and some areas that stood out negatively. Pros: -Amazing service. The crew seemed happy in their roles and like they genuinely wanted to please us as customers. -Our steward was phenomenal. He cleaned our room in the morning and then in the evening tidied it up ...

We have been loyal to Royal Caribbean since its inaugural sailing. We have sailed with them every year since and are now Diamond Members. We now tend to say, let's try another ship next time. I apologise in advance for all the negatives, there are a few positives in here somewhere. We tend to prefer eating in the Windjammer in the evening, as we do not like to be told when we have to eat, ...

Got of the May 15th sailing it was a good cruise but certainly no WoW factor. The ship crew just seamed tired as if they didn't want to be there, there was just no go in some of them, cleaning of the ship was next to non existent. Up on deck 12 there was all sorts of food stuffs left lying around(Fries/Pizza crusts/Bread rolls) which were just not picked up by anyone we new this because the ...

RCI continues to slide

We want on the Canaries Cruise out of Southampton for 12 nights. I am writing the blog whilst still on the ship as I cannot wait to get off and have some decent food. It usually always comes tepid in the main restaurant and on several occasions I have sent it back. Never did I get anybody from the Kitchen or the Manager coming to me apologising, just a reheated version of what I ordered. On the ...

It was an average cruise; great service, poor in activities and tours

I chose this cruise because of its Port-au- Calls, which I had not visited before. It was somewhat inconvenient as it sailed from San Juan, PR and we live in Miami, thus had to fly in the day before (the same day flight was leaving at 7 AM and had to be in the Miami airport at 4 AM.. Thus it cost me a one way ticket to SJ plus a night in a hotel plus meals (an extra $700). The cruise had 7 ...

Wife and I just got back from a 13 night Canaries cruise on Navigator of the Seas (sailed on 28th October 2016), we are diamond + members and this was our 17th cruise with RCI on numerous ships. Embarkation at Southampton: Very smooth no problems Dining: We were on a table for 10 but only one other couple ever turned up for the evening meals and they were fantastic company Terry and ...

The cruises were a good price but the ship is tired and the crew even tireder. Dining in the Windjammer & Main Dining Room had fine service but lackluster choices. The activities were abysmal. The shows were poor on the first cruise and average on the transatlantic. The Veterans Day Service was welcome as at least Royal had one but it was primarily a bible thumping event with no veteran ...
