Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Rhapsody of the Seas

I decided to go on another transatlantic cruise with Royal Caribbean because I had such a great time on the 2017 transatlantic cruise on the Brilliance of the Sea. This year I decided to take the Rhapsody of the Seas from Tampa to Barcelona. The ship is probably about 20 years old and could use a make-over but even though it's a little dated it is clean and a very nice ship. The cruise ...

There is a definite decline of RCCL cruises out of Southampton. Without sounding a snob these cruises appear to becoming holiday centres like Butlins and Pontins on board a large cruise ship. We experienced smoking, very bad language and at times drunkenness in the casino and some bars. There were also charges put on our account that were incorrect, these were corrected when challenged, but ...

We are mostly independent travellers who have been using cruise ships over the past 4 years to see places we were curious to see but not necessarily for a lengthy stay. During this time we have taken 15 cruises - 4 Celebrity, 4 Disney, 3 Royal Caribbean, 3 Princess and 1 Viking oceans. I have enjoyed them all for different reasons but this one will always stand out in my memory for the bawdiness ...

I like to take a repositioning cruise to relax after a long road trip. If not for the bridge games I would’ve jumped ship. The cabin had a ticking noise all night, the beds were hard, and there was a mildew smell in the hallway the entire cruise. We always eat in the buffet because we like the many options. We are kosher and have more choices on the buffet. The service at the buffet was excellent ...

We are just back from a 14 night Navigator cruise from Southampton, to the Canaries and Morocco. I have to say I am a little disappointed and it feels like RCCI is slipping a bit in terms of quality and service in terms of the hotel experience. The Cruise Director 'Clo' and her crew were great and we had no problems with the entertainment on board or the Ports of Call (although we would ...

This was my first cruise with Royal Caribbean, and I chose it for the itinerary which included both Morocco and Paris as well as several stops in Spain, Portugal, and the Canary Islands. We did not spend time in Southampton prior to the cruise nor afterwards, preferring to spend our layover time in NYC. We very much enjoyed meeting our dining companions at dinner, all of whom had much prior ...

I thought the short flight would appeal however travelling over the bay of biscay was terrible I suffered terrible sea sickness which I never experienced before so I would not choose that route again I have been on this ship three times before and I felt that the standards had slipped a little I still enjoyed the trip but just not as much as before - I feel there were lttle extras before that we ...

The good news: - Fast embarkation - Very attentive and excellent service of staff in dining room and cabin - Shows were mostly excellent, specially the performances on ice, theater and promenade - Very clean throughout the ship - Besides being a big ship, no feeling of overcrowding The bad news: - Menu and food in the main dining room was pretty well the same every day. We ...
