Rhapsody - Smaller ship with a big heart

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Rhapsody of the Seas

So, as they were offering this cruise with prices I last saw in 2007, I couldn't resist and booked an ocean view cabin for this transatlantic. Price covered both of us for what I normally pay for one person. Good start. We usually do balconies, but I figured we could live with a window. We flew into London a couple of days early and just to make sure we would join the ship, I booked the airport ...

First transatlantic. As a solo cruiser the ship size suited me perfectly enabling me to get to know a lot of fellow passengers. MDR wait staff were very good for early seating. Our table was for 8 people and it was a great mix, we were very noisy due to the convivial nature of everyone at this table, lots of laughing. It was commented on that we seemed to be having a very good time every ...

Wasn’t the best

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Rhapsody of the Seas

We did the back 2 back Venice to Barcelona because of the ports then Barcelona to Tampa because we like transatlantics. The Rhapsody is an older ship that doesn’t have any of the updated features we’ve become accustomed to on newer ships. Can’t view your account from the TV, no selection of movies in your room, can’t hear announcements. So if you don’t like all the bells and whistles this is ...

Dining room this cruise far surpassed the specialty restaurants in food offered and service. Menus in the specialty restaurants had been cut down and the items Imost enjoyed in the past were no longer on the menu. This is a smaller ship, does not have a promenade so shopping is limited. I prefer a more intimate cruise in order to interact with other passengers. Crew is very kind and very ...

A good cruise on a lovely ship

We’ve recently returned from a 14 night cruise of Spain and the Canary Islands. It’s our second time on this ship and our fourth with RCI. I can’t say I didn’t enjoy this holiday because I did, but there were a few issues that prevent me from giving this a five star review. The ship and the staff are incredible. Despite being very busy we didn’t encounter any of the over-crowding problems ...

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Navigator of the Seas

We booked Navigator because of the varied activities advertised. There were 8 of us in our party - aged from 75 down to 18, so we wanted things to keep us all happy and occupied. Having previously cruised several times on Celebrity, we had high hopes of this being better equipped for the two younger members of our party and, indeed, that proved to be the case. However it was definitely less ...

Have cruised with RCCI previously. Expected the ship to feel big, like Independence, but in reality seemed a little smaller..didn't matter though. Quality of musicians in the bars around Navigator were exceptional. Bar tenders very friendly and attentive. Remembered our name, cabin number and drinks preference, really quickly, was very impressed. Jacuzzis lovely and warm and quite easy to ...

Wanted a longer cruise outside the school holiday. Never been to the Canaries before. The ship was Beaty with a lot of decoration and art. Clean and good taken care of. Our incide cabin had everything we needed and a lot of places to store our things, perfectly located on deck nine between the two lifts. Our stateroom attendant Ida did a Great job and kept it clean and was so nice to us all the ...

A beautiful busy ship!

First time on Indy and highly impressed. Embarkation was seamless as was all service once aboard. After the recent refurb, the ship was radiant and fun to explore. Was told cabins had not been refreshed but ours was as good as new, spacious, spotless and with a deep balcony. Had been a bit worried with some reviews...kids running round, drunken antics, overcrowded...but this was not the case ...

We wanted to experience seeing a different kind of beach where the sand is black. It is black on every Canary Island and the sand itself is different on each island. The weather was on the cloudy and cool side on several days along the way, but we had a wonderful time. Our cabin was great. Onboard offerings were fun and plentiful. We loved the new look of the ship after the refurbishment. ...
