Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Serenade of the Seas

This cruise was given to my husband and I as a gift . A party of five of us looked so forward to this adventure. Unfortunately it was a disappointment to all of us . The service was terrible and very rude staff that treated you as if they were doing you a huge favor by answering any questions. When we arrived in our cabin there was hair in the sink and pieces of paper on the floor in the ...

joined cruise following "cruiser" friends ; very professional organization , clean state-rooms (Yerri) and entire ship ; dining room staff - excellent (IVAN , Benjamin and Bhandarri) ; excellent food and staff; shows could be better (artists) though the orchestra was excellent ; the enrichment lectures (Alan Fischer) were very good ; Halifax was a bit disappointing and also Christansand was not ...

Because 3 of us 4 were diabetics we need to eat at the same time each evening. We were told that our time would be 8:30. Unacceptable to us. We finally had to go to Customer service to get it changed., We spent the first evening eating at the buffet on Deck 9-not good. When we finally got a dining time we found that the food was just barely warm and not that good. We did love being served and our ...

A group of four of us, who have cruised on different ships about 6 or 7 times, picked Anthem of the Seas as it seemed to have many activities and great early summer ports ( Halifax and Bar Harbor). What we didn't know when we made our selection is that passengers had to take tenders to get to Bar Harbor. Imagine disembarking 4,000 guests on tenders ( some of which held as few as 64 passengers). ...

Worst Cruise on Royal EVER

We have been on many Royal Caribbean cruises...over 20 and have been on a variety of class of ships. This was the worst Royal cruise by far. The boat was full which we expected and have experienced on many other ships. This time, we spent so many hours in lines waiting unnecessarily. From getting on and off boat, to waiting for tenders, to waiting in customer service lines, to waiting to play ...

I was on the June 26-July 1 itinerary from New York City (Cape Liberty) to Bar Harbor to Halifax to New York City (Cape Liberty). I chose this cruise because it was the one that worked best with my family's schedule, and the entertainment options on board made it seem like the most fun ship to be on. The ship was quite a blast, with lots of activities from sky diving to surfing to boogie ...

Disorganized and chaotic

It was a short cruise (5 days) going to Bar Harbor and Halifax. The ship was in dire need of updating. The carpets were old and dirty and the furniture in the common spaces looked worn and sometimes had holes in them. The entertainment was geared to 15 year olds and we are senior citizens. Passengers missed their excursions or had them cut short because it took over 2 hours to get off the ship ...

One of the worst two cruises I have ever been on.

We chose this cruise based on the ports of call and that turned out to be the only good thing about our entire trip. Due to allergies we had very few choices for dinner and had to eat the same things over and over. We could not even go to the buffet due to allergies. The life boats were used as tenders to get to and back from Bar Harbour and the crew took the wheelchair off the boat and left it at ...

It took me nearly a year to save for this vacation & it was a comedy of errors. Not only did my sister & I save for what we thought was going to be a great vacation, but it was my birthday celebration as well. My sister had pre-ordered & paid for a birthday cake to be delivered to our room..that never happened & the guest relations Representative said that he could still arrange for it, but it ...

Worst cruise we have ever been on. FOOD POISONING on the second night - Customer Service is inept - Unless you are prepared to book entertainment after 10pm, there is nothing to do. Casino is so small with very little to play with. Smoking is disgusting in such a small area. We were bombarded from the moment we stepped upon the ship with Royal staff trying to sell us even more than what we had ...
