Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Anthem of the Seas

Wanted to try a larger ship and see Caribbean. However, had not realised that USA schools had broken up. Still it was a large ship and 4800 passengers later as we were told we soon understood it was going to be busy. We had our dinners in the Chic restaurant, very nice and waiter service reasonably good, as the second day came our coffee was served in a mug! And no tea spoon!! I did mention to ...

Great time on the Anthem of the Seas

We chose this cruise because we wanted to leave out of the NY/NJ area. We had never been to Bermuda before and were excited to visit there. We were also happy to be on a longer cruise. We had never gone on a ten day cruise before. We also were very excited about some of the available activities on board such as the IFLY machine, bumper cars, acrobatic circus, and the North Star as well as the surf ...

The cabin is great and the ship is clean. That is the only positives. The camp for 11 and under is horrible!!! To participate in any special activities there is at least an hour wait and when these activities happen (limited times and days) the sports area is shut down. The food is ok, nothing to write home about. The compass only has trivia, no other activities planned. Customer service ...

Not our favorite cruise

Chose this cruise due to departure port. Went with my family of 8. Visually the ship was very nice but layout was not great. Promenade has an odd jog in it and main section was perpetually filled with racks of clothes and table of jewelry for sale, making traversing it very crowded and difficult. Promenade was also lacking the fun pubs and bars where you could sit, enjoy a beverage and people ...

WATCH OUT FOR FALSE CHARGES

Overall awesome experience - entertainment was amazing!!! I just wanted to leave this comment for one reason - Royal Caribbean is a shady and unethical company! On departure day every room that was traveling with me in my party was charged with a "mini bar" fee. Luckily I get a notification every time my credit card is charged so I went to Guest Services right before disembarking the ship to go ...

My partner chose this ship after I complained that the last ship we were one was a bit small and that there wasn't much space or activities on the ship in general and specific for adults. I was planning on never taking a cruise again, but we received credit from my first RC cruise because our stateroom reeked of cigarette smoke (we were nowhere near the smoking sections which made us believe that ...

I chose this cruise because it was on the new ship Anthem of the Seas and it was 9 nights. Getting on the ship was an easy process, it went smooth other than we had to sit in traffic for over an hour to drop our bags off. (never had to wait like this before, but this was the first time we left from cape liberty) Upon parking the car we learned that the parking garage that you must park in which ...

We chose this cruise because we felt this ship met all the needs of our family ranging in age from 12 to 70. We enjoyed the itinerary- Horseshoe Beach and the caves in Bermuda, day passes to Divi Beach resort in St. Maarten, exploring El Moro and Old San Juan on our own, and a picture perfect day in Haiti. We divided our meals between the dining room and Windjammer- the kids love the variety ...

Celebration Cruise with our children, their spouses and our grandchildren!

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Anthem of the Seas

My husband and I are Diamond members of Royal Caribbean. We chose Royal Caribbean "Anthem of the Seas" because it sailed out of New Jersey. We could all drive to the port, only 2 hours from our home town. We wanted our children, their spouses and our grandchildren to experience cruising Royal Caribbean. We (my husband and I) love cruising and this was a great way to create a memory celebrating our ...

My review is a little late, but in I thought I had to post to be fair as I just posted a lower rated review for the Silhouette and failed to post my pleasant experience on Anthem. My husband and I have been on 15+ cruises with various cruise lines, average age 63. My husband and I had a Junior Spa suite which was just perfect in size and appointment for us. Plenty of room and great stateroom ...
