Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Grandeur of the Seas

My husband, myself and another couple took this cruise so we could drive to the Baltimore port 20 minutes from where we live. The port is easy to navigate and embark and disembark. As most other cruisers we went directly to the Windjammer for lunch upon boarding, was crowded but manageable. The crew was quick and frequent to offer drinks and take away used plates and beverages. Always with a ...

I have cruised with RCL at least 15 cruises. Every cruise has become more onboard revenue driven. It has gotten to the point where you can’t enjoy breakfast or lunch without staff approaching you trying to sell you premium restaurants, spa treatments or as on the last cruise foot analysis. First the flowers and fruit in the rooms were taken (no big deal) then the robes, next pens and paper, and ...

We have been sailing on Anthem since it started sailing in 2015. It's a nice, modern ship with plenty of bells and whistles and our first couple of sailings were extraordinary! We enjoy sailing out of Cape Liberty for the convenience and quite honestly, embarkation AND disembarkation couldn't be smoother. They get high marks for that. RC lets passengers know up front the recommended arrival time ...

We wanted to visit the eastern Caribbean and 3 of the ports of call were new to us. Another plus: We live in northern NJ and this ship sails from Bayonne. We had sailed before on Royal, and guests with balconies used to receive expedited embarkation. No more; we had to wait in line for over 40 minutes -- worse than the security wait at Newark airport. The service onboard was excellent (housekeeper ...

Great Cruise for New Cruisers

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Anthem of the Seas

We booked this cruise due to the features of the ship and the departure location. Overall, the staff and service was great, the entertainment director has done a terrific job making sure there is plenty to do on the ship. Overall, the food was ok. The ship's main dining and buffets were lackluster with the exception of formal nights (2). Breakfast is their Achilles heal, needs much ...

The ship was beautiful and well-maintained. Room was comfortable, even with two teenagers and our housekeeper was great! The main dining room service was excellent - food was great most nights. The buffet offered a ton of choices. Kids had pizza and cookies every night before bed. Teens loved the Sportsplex with bumper cars, basketball, foosball and ping-pong. We will Rock you was an awesome ...

I wanted a cruise that was more than 7 days; it seems that 7 just isn't enough any more; you just get relaxed and its time to go home. I would have done a 12 day but have a hard time getting something to fit in. Everything worked out well; we were offered an upgrade to a junior suite and we took it. The balcony made all the world of difference!! Such a nice change to have a large balcony with ...

This boat is huge but there is only one 6 foot circle of concrete for kids in swim diapers. They're not allowed in any pools at all. The staff was not knowledgeable about the boat or activities. Unless you're 75 and in a scooter, this cruise was lame. There was a 45 minute wait for dining even with a reservation. Every day there was some new problem or rule that prevented people from enjoying ...

Blocked in stateroom on 1st day, poor food, guest services even worse

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Anthem of the Seas

on the first day, we were barricaded in the balcony stateroom due to ship employees blocking the door which opens outward, with suitcases. called guest service only to be on hold for 30+ minutes, and ended up forcing door open to get out for " safety video" and injured hand. to this day, guest services would not comment on the issue and still waiting to hear back from royal. food in buffet was ...
