This was my first and last cruise.
I am at loss for words… As a first time cruiser I had a lot of things to learn. Just suck that it came at such an expensive price!
The only reason they got a 2 is because the service was good and our room was made everyday just like we like it.
The food was HORRIBLE - I work in the school system and our lunch lady made gastronomic food compare to this! ...
Booked a smaller ship thinking that overcrowding wouldn’t be as big of a problem as in past cruises. Boy, was I wrong, and add to that a dated jalopy of a ship to spend a week on. Don’t waste your money on this pile of garbage unless you like the hum and flicker of CFL light bulbs that *might* work if you’re lucky. One of them in our stateroom was like a strobe light and two other lights just ...
Rhapsody of the Seas
Boarding the Ship
Barbados – Total chaos. No directions as to where to go, just sending passengers anywhere. It took hours. We’ve never had this problem before.
Miami – We were on a ‘back to back’ cruise but were told we had to get off the ship in Miami. The day before, we attended a meeting and were given instructions. We were told we would be checked in on the ...
Been to a few Southern Caribbean cruises, but chose this one with the Aruba and Bonaire destinations...with 2 days in Aruba, which was everything I've hoped for, been twice before but first time doing tours on the island, learned so much about its history on a historical walking tour on day 1 and a scenic tour with stops at the natural bridge, ruins, lighthouse and their famous eagle beach on day ...
We recently were on Rhapsody of the Seas out of Barbados. Since there have not been many reviews of the cruises out of Barbados, and especially the Island Hop itinerary where you visit 7 islands in 7 days, I wanted to post this review. I am not an expert review poster, so this might be a little all over the place.
This is mostly going to be about our experience on each island, including what ...
This Rhapsody of the Seas “Island Hopper” 11 day cruise out of Barbados was chosen because of the very low price of $345 p/p and the itinerary included three islands we haven’t previously visited.
We flew WestJet direct flight from Toronto to Bridgetown and stayed at two different beach hotels. The first two nights at the Accra Beach Hotel and Spa and at the Rostrevor Hotel in St. Lawrence Gap ...
My Husband booked this cruise as a surprise 60th Birthday present, and it was far from cheap. We had a balcony cabin which was clean and quite roomy despite the fact that the fridge did not work. Another fridge was delivered after complaining but was in addition to the broken fridge, so was placed under the dressing table leaving no room to push the chair under the dressing table therefore taking ...
My husband and I are experienced cruisers and have been on many different cruise lines. We are in our 60s. After reading about how terrible this cruise was, we lowered our expectations...and were pleasantly surprised albeit with some potential improvements to recommend as well.
The food and service in the Main Dining Room is perfect. It was delicious, a diverse menu and our waiters Donald and ...
We are Diamond members but this was our first cruise on Royal since the pandemic. I chose this itinerary because it visited 7 islands in 8 days. 5 of the islands were new to use. Since everyday was a port day, I figured a small ship would be ok. The crew was amazingly friendly. It almost felt like they are using the smaller ships for "training". Our cabin attendant was new (he told us) and ...
Barbados is or was an easier country ton get in to, Home Security in the US being aggressive in the best of situations, and with a stop every day little time is wasted. Most things went okay but when they didn't they tended to be shore side. First problem was actually getting on, I had an 11.30 boarding slot, I had four days in a hotel before hand, but I arrived on time and handed over my ...
