Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Grandeur of the Seas

This is a very old ship. Worse cruise I have ever been on. They didn't have enough help anywhere. Took a long time in the dining room to get served. This was not the waiters fault, just not enough waiters to go around. We lost a port of call due to the weather, which I realize could not be helped. We had some sickness, but the main problem was mechanical and we had to go back to port for repairs. ...

Worst Cruise Ever

I have been on more than 40 cruises on lines ranging from NCL and RCI to Celebrity and Princess. This was my worst cruise ever. The food was awful. The only decent food on the ship was at the specialty restaurants, for which you had to pay. The buffets consisted mainly of ethnic foods, grey hamburgers, and salad bars. The dining room had mediocre meats and small portions. If you wanted a good ...

Bad Ship Maintenance = Vacation Cut Short

Chose this cruise based off of price and date of vacation. There was not much to do for young adults. We were unable to go on our shore excursion and they tried to charge us extra for a supplemental excursion. Pricing was not clear for the Spa. Still had to pay for the entire cruise even though we had to leave early because of maintenance on the ship. Very disappointed with the overall experience. ...

This was the worst vacation ever. The rooms are barely big enough to fit 2 even though its supposed to be a 4 person room. Then there was nothing to do!. Maybe I would've had fun if every event wasn't designed to sell me stuff (News Flash: A watch sale is not an event!) And all the other events were designed for old people (Adult coloring? Really?!?! I could do that at home!) The event coordinator ...

Captin rode the ship like it was a jetski, whole boat was sick

The days at sea were terrible for everyone and it set the mood for the rest of the cruise. The route we too cause the boat to rock so bad staff and customers were sick for days. On the bright side they handed out Dramamine pills like chicklets. Staff tried their best to play down how bad it was and keep a smile on and divert our attention to other things. The excursions and pools were closed most ...

My Best Friend actually choose this cruise for her birthday. All I can say is this was not an enjoyable experience. The ship rocked constantly for almost 24hrs.Could not sleep so uncomfortable. So happy I did not get the drink package. Awful experience, sick for 2 days. Seeing people so sick throwing up all over the place is not how I envisioned my vacation.I will no longer sail again. Overall ...

We were on a cruise Wedding to Bermuda. I had never been on a cruise before and was looking forward to this event for many reasons. 1) my sons Wedding - went off without a hitch, atmosphere was great food served at the Event was good, Bartenders were good, was second day. So my first cruise ever, to a place I have never been. Hopes and expectations were high, which became to be a ...

Great time on Grandeur

My BIL chose this ship to celebrate his retirement. My sister, their 3 kids and their spouses and two grandbabies went, along with me, DH, our 2 sons and their fiancee/girlfriend. 16 of us altogether. Our two families cruised on Grandeur in Feb 2000 and this was our first time back on her in 17 years. The ship was in very good shape; we've all done many other cruises since 2000, some on RCCL ...

We chose this cruise based on the ports of call and that turned out to be the only good thing about our entire trip. Due to allergies we had very few choices for dinner and had to eat the same things over and over. We could not even go to the buffet due to allergies. The life boats were used as tenders to get to and back from Bar Harbour and the crew took the wheelchair off the boat and left it at ...

This cruise was chosen by someone planning a group trip, and I was excited to try Royal. However, this trip was a large disappointment. My husband and I could have taken 2 Carnival cruises for the price of this trip. Not saying that it was terrible, but it should have been marketed and priced as a value cruise. There was nothing luxurious about this trip. The embarktion time was delayed by ...
