Grandeur looks nice, but terrible experience

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Grandeur of the Seas

The biggest issue that is the non working bathrooms all aboard the Grandeur. We experience the problem on the second morning in our stateroom. We called maintenance and was told that they are aware of the issue and was not just in our stateroom. We were further disappointed during the cruise when I stopped by the restroom near the Great Gatsby. Not only the same non working bathrooms issue, but ...

SAVE YOUR MONEY & GO ON ANOTHER SHIP

2nd time w/RCI & this was horrible. The balcony suite was small & decorated from the 70's. The bathroom smelled like a septic & was very tiny. Elevators were slow and the toilet lines were blocked several times so toilets could not be flushed. Nothing to do on the ship and too many kids running around unattended by there parents. On deck 9 you can see chipped paint and many layors of paint. This ...

This was our 3rd cruise. We are mostly independent travelers, but our kids and friends had so much fun on previous cruises, we thought what the heck. PLEASE don't waste your money on this trip. The stops are awful and the ship is not comfortable. Save some extra money and take a cruise out of FL for beach lovers and for history/scenic beauty, we loved our Celebrity cruise out of ...

Norovirus nightmare

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Grandeur of the Seas

Our departure was delayed several hours so they could do a thorough cleaning job as almost 6% of the passengers of the previous cruise "reported" their illness. I don't know how many went un-reported but I knew of several people on our cruise that did not report their illness, self-quarantined because they were so ill they couldn't get out of their cabin. Several also developed the illness the day ...

This was our first cruise and will be our last. The night before we left for Baltimore we received a call that the ship was delayed due to the norovirus by several hours. The day of departure my family was swore at and screamed at by the luggage crew for not placing our luggage in the proper spot and not putting the handles down on our luggage, we filed a complaint. We arrived on the boat and did ...

Could not find anything positive about the ship, food or service

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Grandeur of the Seas

We sailed many times on Princess’s and Holland America’s ships. We can find room of improvements, but overall liked cruising with them. This was our first (and will be the last) on Royal Caribbean. Maybe word “Royal” confused us in thinking this line should be exceptionally good. Everything from watery shampoo and unusable (uncomfortable) sink in bathroom to nonsense answers of front desk ...

First and LAST cruise on RCL - Did we get on the sacrificial cruise?

Underwhelmed by Royal Caribbean - Grandeur of the Seas 8 night Bahamas, January 31 to February 8 2014 I have to say that I don't really know why other people would have given this ship anything above a 2 star on their reviews. I rely a lot on reviews before making purchases. I know that there are many people out there that do the same and so I would like to include as much information here as ...

Grandeur Not So Grand!

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Grandeur of the Seas

Our first cruise on Royal Caribbean was this past November, sailing to the Bahamas out of Baltimore. Check-in went fairly quickly, and we were on the ship about 30 minutes after being checked in. We travelled with another family who also never sailed with RCL and all were curious to see the ship. Once onboard, we were taken back on how dirty and old the ship looked. We read it had undergone a ...

BERMUDA 7 NIGHT CRUISE 10-25-2013 First and foremost let me say that the staff that we interacted with were fantastic. Our Room Steward George Cayasso, Waiters Mark Brown and Fredrick Pecson, and Guest support staff Ricardo Sanchez, Lourdes Mendoza, Tiela Hagan, and Luz Maria Lucana. They were always cheerful and helpful in all respects and need to be recognized for their superior performance by ...
