This was a family first time cruise with a group of 18. We didn't know what to expect when picking ships so we went with the Grander. When first boarding the ship you could tell that this was a very OLD ship with a lot of use. We had 5 children teenagers who could not find any other children on board to hang out with. The teens club was very old and boarding they were to say to us. They spent most ...
Ernest Hemingway wrote "A Farewell to Arms". SailawayJack writes a goodbye to Royal.
I booked an 8 night cruise from Baltimore for my entire family. Wife, 2 daughters, son-in-law, grandson, and future son-in-law. This cruise started bad from the very beginning. After dropping off my luggage and passengers, I went to park the car. My wife was refused admittance to the terminal until our ...
We recently cruised with Royal Caribbean out of Baltimore on the Grandeur of the Seas. Our cruise set sail on February 13th out of Baltimore.
Before I go into the negatives, I wanted to say that I was impressed with the premium restaurants.
We had our first problem the first night of the cruise. Earlier in the evening, we came back to the room and our attendant was talking with a ...
I just recently returned from my third cruise with Royal Caribbean, and although my first two were fantastic experiences, this one was my last. Horrific service from their Guest Services and the main dining room, and poor communication between the company and guests confirmed that I had wasted several thousand dollars on a vacation I can’t even look back on to enjoy. My fiancé and I had almost ...
If you just want quantity of food, this is the ship for you because there is no quality unless you dine in the speciality restaurants and even then it is iffy. Even the oatmeal is inedible. This cruise line is so far below the others that it is hard to even rate it.
Our supposed suite has a pole down the middle, a toilet with a black ring which can not be washed off.
The day's activities ...
I am a 35 year old woman with 3 kids and a great husband. We were celebrating our 10 year anniversary without kids and had booked this several numbers in advance. We booked the second best suite - the Owners Suite and paid a chunk of change. In short, we were THRILLED as it was something to look forward to. We were VERY disappointed. I will keep the following brief as I don't want to waste anymore ...
I absolutely agree with every single comment NCBN0902! It was my very first time cruising and it was absolutely horrible. I understand the company had no control over the weather but they did absolutely nothing to assist passengers. My cabin was at the very back of the ship and in order to get dressed to our "formal" dinner, i had to lay on the bed to get dressed because staying up was ...
My wife and I are in our mid-40s and decided to take a cruise to Bermuda thinking that it would be a great way to spend a romantic week together while also getting to experience the culture of a foreign country. We were wrong. What we got instead was a "bus trip" aboard a no-tell motel to a shopping mall.
The details are as follows:
- The overall look of the ship was old and shabby, this ...
We were on the Grandeur the 21th if Feb. for 10 nights, we got the ship in Baltimore.
There was a big mess up with our tables, they had my sister and her friend at a table for two, and my husband and me at a table for four, we were supposed to be at a table for ten, after two hours we got that took care of.
I have been on 25 cruises with RCI, always were good and no complaints but this cruise ...
It started with what had to be the biggest joke of a port. The staff was rude and the line for check in took 3.5 hours.
The ship was very dated and small. There was limited seating around the grand entry area. There was septic leaking in the hallway and several rooms around us had to have their carpet taken out and replaced .
Our bed was hard as a rock and the pillows were flat.
The ...
