We chose this cruise as it is driving distance from our home. We thought it would be a wind down to the summer before we take a fall cruise.
I was amazed as the number of children beings it was a week before school.
Seemed to be families including grand parents.
First stop Bermuda, not much time there. arriving at 2p.m. and leaving the next day at 3p.m.

We enjoyed a short getaway before school started.
The port of Baltimore allows for easy boarding and exiting of the ship. We drove to the port and parked near the cruise terminal.
We had ordered glasses for the eclipse and were pleasantly surprised that Royal Caribbean provided glasses.

My husband and choose this cruise because it is not far from Lititz, PA.about an hour and a half. We did spend a night in Baltimore before the cruise. Stayed at the Hyatt Regency, not what we expected, hallway are dirty and so is the pool outdoor, room are not that great either. Will stay home and leave from next time it wasn't worth the money. Chose this cruise because of the good price (2 more days and cheaper than Carnival). But, that was a mistake. Food sucked in Windjammer. I took a 9-day cruise to Bermuda and The Bahamas. The ship, Grandeur of the Seas, was a great ship. Aparently it has been retrofitted with some of the things from the Oasis class ships after the fire, so even though it is the smallest ship in the Royal Caribbean fleet, it was still an excellent cruise. My husband and I have been on several cruises. We love going out of Baltimore because the arrival and departure are so easy. Parking is a little expensive. We enjoyed the cruise very much. Food was very good and had many choices. The personnel was very friendly and helpful. Went with our daughter and her family (husband and two elementary school boys). Trip was mainly for them, but we very much enjoyed it! The grandchildren loved the pool and the kids club. Hard to get them to leave either.
