We had an excellent dinner experience in the Main Dining room, with our waiter and assisted providing superior service, willing to go the extra mile in providing for our requests.
The entertainment in the Schooner Bar was exceptional. The piano player, Kim Kinrade played and sang non-stop for four hours, without sheet music!! He only used an Ipad for the words to each of the MANY songs he ...
Random thoughts:
Grandeur needs a refresh of all the public areas! However, the convenience of leaving from Baltimore and the quality of the staff more than make up for this.
The check-in process was much slower than previous Baltimore departures, however that may be due to the time we arrived (about 11:30).
Captain Thor participated in many events, and we saw him much more than any other ...
Great to see a bit of the America's Cup. Great itinerary. Great veterans recognition!
We love the port of Baltimore but it was not as quick on and off as prior cruises. Sad to not see an aerial show any more. This is an older ship but still in very good condition. The crew was visible and very friendly. Activities director Tanya should be promoted.. very hard working. The entertainers ...
Even though getting on the ship was a bit of a hassle, we very much enjoyed our cruise.
This was our first cruise and it met our expectations in every way. Despite the ship's age it was clean and well-maintained. The crew in particular were for the most part incredibly courteous and friendly, quickly learning our names and making us feel right at home. The comedy shows were wonderful and my ...
I chose this cruise for the destination and because one of my potential cruise mates was afraid to fly and lives in Silver Springs MD. Unfortunately she did not join us and I will never sail out of the Port of Baltimore again, but that is beside the point. The itinerary was very relaxing. The spa services were wonderful but hard to schedule due to demand which is a testament to the quality of ...
My family member planned the cruise. The room was comfortable. It did take a few days to get used to the layout of the ship.I did not have any input other than opting for the "anytime" meal option which was good and paying tax and gratuity upfront. I highly recommend this. In hindsight, I would have read the newsletter provided everyday more thoroughly. I realized after the fact that I ...
My wife and I both 61 yrs old took this cruise for our 40th anniversary out of Baltimore. We arrived a day early and stayed at the Best Western on O'Donnell Street. One of the best decisions I made prior to the trip. Nice hotel with breakfast with a shuttle to the inner harbor for dinner and then a GREAT shuttle they sub contract to take us to the port and pick us up. Picked us up at 10:45am from ...
The port (Baltimore) is only an hour from my home. I decided to join extended familly members on the cruise.
It took me a while to get used to this ship. I'm used to slightly larger ships (not the HUGE ones). But after I did, I really enjoyed The Grandeur of the Seas. The entertainment on board was excellent. Another review said there wasnt much to do on board. I beg to differ. There was ...
The crew were amazing and made our experience very joyful. Paul and Tanya are happy upbeat people that make you want to dance the night away. All shows were top notch. One complaint I have is for the early dining, it was hard to make 2 out of 5 of the shows, as they only had one scheduled at 7:15 on 2 of the evenings. Our dining room staff was not able to get us out in time to see those shows. ...
We chose the 5 day cruise on the Grandeur of the Seas since it would be my 1st cruise experience. My husband didn't want it to be overwhelming but enjoyable. Although, I don't have much experience to use as a comparison, overall, I enjoyed myself. The ship sail was calm for most to the trip. We were not allowed to go on deck due to the weather for only an hour of the 5 days onboard. The positives ...
