Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Grandeur of the Seas

This was the first cruise with Royal Caribbean, if I had never cruised before I would not have known there was better. But I have and I doubt I will use them again. The stateroom, the basic stateroom was small, the bathroom was smaller and the shower was tiny. When we arrived on the ship I did not feel my bathroom was very clean. Shower curtain was filthy, toilet had a brown ring on the seat ...

I would not go on Grandeur again if bringing my children. My biggest issue with the kid's club is you have to do the initial paperwork (given for legality purposes) and then each session you have to wait in a LONG line to check-in and check-out your kids. The sessions are from 9-12am, 2-5pm, 7-10pm, and then paid after that time. We allowed our kids to check themselves in and out since they are ...

Old ship with little to do

We've been on more than 10 cruises on various cruise lines and this was right at the bottom of every cruise we've ever been on. The ship is old and small. Nothing to do for our 16 and 18 year old boys. The ship had some weird odors throughout. The pool and hot tub ruined our white bathing suits, leaving them and my skin with a green hue. The disembarking for ports of call were ...

Disappointing

We chose this trip because the ship left from Baltimore - easy to get to port and no airport needed. The ship needs an update. Our cabin had several mechanical issues. The food and service was great but there were so many upcharges in the dining room and other areas of the ship. The adults only pool was small and the chairs were all taken by 9:15 on sea days. I never remember a ship before where ...

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Grandeur of the Seas

We chose the cruise from Baltimore for the convenience of driving from Northern Virginia and parking at the port. The embarkation was a bit lengthy having to stay in line to check in to get our sea pass card (1.5 hours) and we got there around 1200. The disembarkation was as smooth a process as it could be, very organized. There were no delays getting on and off at Bermuda. The ship is the ...

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Grandeur of the Seas

We went on this cruise to partake in the cooler northern climate. However, it was 80-90 degrees Fahrenheit during the daytime in most of the ports. Prior to the cruise, we stayed at the Hampton Inn, Glenn Burnie, MD. The hotel has a “Park Sleep and Sail” cruise package which includes hotel stay, parking, and transportation to and from the cruise port. We arrived at the Baltimore cruise ...

We wanted to visit the New England states and thought it would be nice to cruise there. We were always under the assumption that Royal Carribbean was a superior cruise line but they did not measure up to our satisfaction. We were disappointed. We did not like the additional money they were asking for things that we felt should have been already paid for when you take a cruise. The quality of food ...

Great ports of call

I chose Royal because I have had great experience in the past. The ship is older and smaller so not a whole lot for younger kids to do. My teen didn't want to give the teen center a try because he didn't get it out right away and was nervous that to many kids already knew each other by the time he would have went there. My oldest son is in a wheelchair so from that point of view locations on the ...

Some Disappointments

Embarkation and disembarkation went smoothly. Although the Grandeur has just recently come out of dry dock after "refurbishing", I could not see what the "refurbishments" consisted of... and we cruised on the Grandeur in Feb-Mar this year. Shower curtain in bath was stained brown, there were intermittent sewer odors in room/hallway, but otherwise, our cabin was very clean and was serviced well by ...
