The cruise was excellent. We traveled as a family with several under the age of three (all in a family stateroom). It was a nice time to travel in Europe, and the ship provided excellent service. We were especially impressed with Royal Tots for our young ones, and the professionalism (and assistance) that the crew provided throughout our voyage with kids. They were always assisting with finding a ...
Wanted to see more of Europe so booked with Royal Carribean first and last time!
Ship is tired needs a refit though on the positive side is clean.
Staff work hard , long days and are always helpfull.
Sadly the drinks are very expensive $13 for a glass of wine $3.50 for a can of coke !!
There are no price lists at any of the bars so unable to choose other than by looking over the bar . ...
We chose this cruise to get a taste of the ports. We had never been to any of the countries of the port and wanted to see if these countries would be places we would want to go back and stay longer. If you want to see Paris a cruise is not the way to go. We took the ships transportation and the ship got into port by 7:00 but our bus did not leave until 9:15-9:30. Then the bus HAD to stop a 1/2 ...
We went on this cruise with a group as a business trip. The food was below par, the buffet was the leftovers from the dining room the night before. The Saphire Dining Room meals were equal to a Chili's or Red Robin in the US. Definitely not getting what you paid for. We ate in Chops one night, food was OK, but it would be what I expected in the main dining room, and I would expect better from one ...
Cruise was chosen mainly based on ports of call. All of which we enjoyed.
Embarking usually was smooth. Whenever it was time to return to ship, lines were very long. Cruise was crowded and there were always lines whether to eat, if you had a question or needed help at the main desk.
We only used RC as a means of transportation to St. Michel and Brugge. Otherwise we did shore excursions ...
This trip was free for my wife and I-and I'm glad we didn't pay for anything except excursions and souvenirs!
We have been on a couple Carnival ships, and a couple of Royal Caribbean ships (last year was the biggest and newest, Harmony of the Seas) and we were disappointed in the poor maintenance and cleanliness of the ship overall. Also, quality of food and service in the main dining room for ...
Retirement gift. Always wanted to go on a cruise. It was a very good experience and would do it again sometime. People were very friendly and staff was good and very pleasant. Food was very good, fresh, and well cooked and seasoned. Activities were very good and a lot to do for everyone. Ship was very clean and arranged very nicely. Captain was very professional and on top of every detail. He also ...
Fitted in well with school holidays and always good to sail from Southampton. Ship is a good one although a little tired in places.
The last time we had Clo as a cruise director she was disappointing but she was bang on form on this cruise.
Main dining was good service but main dining food was not as good as it used to be and significantly lower in standard than NCL who we used for the ...
Excellent service, food and entertainment, but we chose this cruise for the itinerary (which included Iceland). Taking a northern cruise in late August/early September limits your pool time somewhat, but it is a great time to be walking through ports. Repositioning cruises with multiple at sea days require a variety of entertainment and enrichment options to ensure a positive experience. Serenade ...
We chose this cruise because of it's stops in Iceland. We have been to the other countries which were very nice. The Serenade is in good shape for it's age and the overall cruise was average but cutbacks are everywhere. They only supply one bar of soap at a time in the bathroom. The Hair conditioner and lotion are only given to Crown & Anchor Members who have over 350 points. A 15 night cruise ...
