This was our first RCCL cruise and I chose Odyssey due to this Southern Caribbean itinerary. I loved having the 8 nights and the 4 full at-sea days. Ports were also good for beach days. As someone who has cruised Celebrity, Disney and Carnival (never again on that one), I will say this is a mid-choice line, good for families with mixed ages and varied activity levels.
We enjoyed the ship - ...
This cruise was right after Thanksgiving, so they slowly were putting up Christmas decorations as the cruise went on. A little chillier but to be expected. Had great weather. Cabin was very nice. Food in mdr we gave a 8/10 and Windjammer 7/10 as we felt not quite the selection of the past. Very good but wanted a better variety. Crew was awesome and friendly. Lots to do as far as activities. Love ...
We booked a 4-night Bahamas cruise aboard Liberty of the Seas to celebrate my birthday. Watching the weather forecast ahead of the cruise, I was extremely nervous. They were calling for 20-30 MPH winds and thunderstorms when we were in the Bahamas. Fortunately, before we even left the port, the captain announced that our itinerary needed to be changed because of the approaching cold front. He ...
This was our 18th cruise on many different lines (Carnival, Celebrity, Cunard, Holland America, NCL and Princess) and we wanted to try a bigger class ship on Royal.
We flew from Ottawa, Ontario to Newark airport the day before the cruise and stayed at a nice B&B in Staten Island. Took the ferry back and forth to Manhattan to see the sights which never gets old!
Embarkation –This was the ...
This was nearly our 20th cruise and definitely one of the most fun cruises. The CD and her activity staff were pretty amazing. They just made the cruise an absolute blast. The definite highlights were Quest and Love and Marriage. And the shows were definitely better than average. The food was hit or miss. Some of it was good and some wasn't very good. The Italian specialty restaurant was ...
To celebrate our 45th Anniversary we chose a cruise to the Caribbean. Having previously sealed on RCLs’ Allure and Oasis we knew this ship, the Anthem, didn’t have all the bells and whistles of those ship, but it fit into our schedule, we booked it. Originally scheduled to stop in Port Canaveral, Nassau and Coco Cay because of engine problems the ship skipped Nassau. As promised RCL, surprisingly ...
Wedding anniversary trip, seen so many places of interest, great way to see different cities, 6 ports of call, booked our own excursions, ship is wonderful and our balcony cabin was lovely, One gripe would be we encountered some rude people,at buffet who did not seem to notice others waiting in orderly fashion and just stepped in front of other passengers with no regard for manners. Lots of large ...
I’ve been driving to Port Canaveral for cruises for the past two years and was glad to find a Royal Caribbean ship from Tampa, where I live!
Embarking was easy. Disembarking was difficult and took over an hour to get off the ship once in line.
Because of Hurricane Tammy, we were unable to go to Nassau and CocoCay. We went to Cozumel instead. For families, this was a big disappointment. The ...
We chose this cruise nearly two years ago as our first Oasis Class ship with Royal Caribbean. We wanted to chose a Caribbean cruise as we love the sunshine and the ports of call so this was a fantastic itinerary. We have sailed on other Royal Caribbean ships before, and with this being their flagship of the fleet we had very high expectations for it.
Embarkation - Was a breeze. Royal ...
I just returned from my second cruise... things that stand out as being exceptional on this second cruise are the crew were exceptionally attentive, pleasant, and genuine. Particularly our room attendant Tangan (?) and our dinner servers Igede and Sanjay... that said, each staff person we encountered was wonderful. One of the drink attendents even remembered what we had chosen the day before, even ...
